The only place you can find peruvian food in northern nevada. The food is very good even though it will never be like in Peru. I go there very often their best dishes are ceviche and lomo saltado.

If you ever had real Peruvian food, this tastes nothing like it. I travelled to Peru 5 times and my husband is Peruvian and it is very sad that the only Peruvian restaurant in Reno has terrible representation of Peruvian cuisine. Do not recommend.

My daughter was craving a burrito after her basketball game so we decided to give this place a try. There is no sign outside so you can easily miss it. When we walked in we waited to be sat. The restaurant is small with about 8 tables. There was another table there when we arrived. Our server was nice but it took awhile for her to take our order and it took even longer for us to receive our food. My daughter ordered the burrito with carne asada no beans and no pico for $16, the burrito was tiny filled with tons of rice and not enough meat. I ordered 6 tacos for $12, the price is good for 6 tacos but the portions were minimal. The meat is good, but the prices don't justify the amount of food you receive. Overall, I do not see myself returning.

Nice to have a place that serves platanos! It's a little pricy, but good serving portions. You do have to ask for more salsa and sauce though as they serve teeny portions of those.

Enjoyed the food so much. A little hole in the wall with delicious food and extremely friendly service.

So far the only restaurant in Reno (that I know of) that serves Peruvian food. Sure I could probably make some dishes, but sometimes eating from a restaurant is better. I was missing my mother's cooking, so I really wanted some Peruvian food. I ordered for pick up. I ordered the sabor causa, the anticuchos, the arroz con mariscos, and the lomo saltado. The causa had a really good citrus flavor. It was soft and yummy. The anticuchos were alright. I wish it had more marinade. The lomo saltado was a bit underwhelming just because the meat was a bit few and thin, but had decent flavor. The arroz con mariscos was the best. It was soooo flavorful and the seafood tasted good. It was my favorite dish. I definitely want to come back to try the other dishes here.

I love this place so much. The palta rellena is my favorite appetizer, but the empenadas are very good as well. The grilled plates are delicious and we've had pretty much everything on the menu.Kid-friendliness: My kid thought the chicken nuggets were amazing.

Gotta try something/somewhere new. My husband was feeling like Mexican, but not the same-as-always Mex menu. So we gave Sabor a try. It's in a strip mall, but the restaurant isn't strip-mall-y. Very chic and simple decor, clean. Pretty busy for a weekday evening. I had my mind set on causa, very unique-looking, popular dish. Unfortunately they didn't have causa that night. Sad. So I asked for empanadas. Flavorful and crunchy! Excellent. My family really enjoyed their dishes, but the consensus was that it's a bit salty. I am pretty sure that the saltiness is one of the characteristics of the S. American/Latin cuisines. Still, very flavorful; a very pleasantly complex taste. Next time, I hope that I actually get to try the causas!

The place was clean and nice. Food was amazing. Just remember this is not a fast food and it could take a few minutes to get your food on the table as orders are cooked on demand. We used to come here when it was called "El Tumi". We found out the menu and the place was remodeled and also improved. We are gonna come back more frequently. Excellent. The only downside was the parking lot as it was full and we could not find a spot for a while (This is not their fault as it is a shared parking lot with other businesses).

I am giving them a 4 because 3 seem too low (take this review as somewhere between 3.5-3.8 stars)PROS:The guacamole was very creamy and it was really good as well as the tortilla chips. The beef empanadas with the side of chimichurri were really good! Good amount of filling and the chimichurri was tasty.I am used to Mexican style ceviche so I wanted to try their Ceviche Mixto which is Peruvian style. Fish and shrimp marinated in lemon juice with red onion, Peruvian corn and sweet potato on the side. The fish and the shrimp were very fresh and the flavor was amazingCONS:Carne asada plate: the dish comes with 2 quesadilla and chorizo and those were really good but the carne asada was quite salty :(The restaurant is cute with a modern flare but the SMELL is really really bad! As soon as you walk in you get a strong sewer smell that takes some time to get used to. While we were there other patrons complained about the smell as well. The place is nice and has potential but they definitely need to address the smell issue; I can see how potential customers can get driven away. Most likely I would give it another chance so I can try some of their Argentinian dishes.

Overall this place was very tasty and had some fantastic dishes. I kind of struggled between 3 and 4 stars due to a couple things, which just tells me I have to go back, try some other food and solidify my thoughts. We tried a couple different dishes and really enjoyed them. We started off with Guacamole, which we actually got by mistake, but being our first time here we thought these people didn't mess around with their complimentary snacks We also had the empanadas with beef and side of chimichurri and both dishes were very good. For my main entree I had the Carne Asada which came with 2 quesadillas, chorizo and plenty of tortillas. The steak itself was super tender and well cooked however it was super salty, at least for my taste. I ended up eating most of the meal by adding the meat to quesadillas or just as tacos which helped with the saltiness. Overall it was a very tasty dish and it had a very good spicy salsa. It was my first time here so not sure if this is normal but the place smelled bad, like sewage. According to the server it was a building issue, not an issue specific to the restaurant and some other people their were complaining as well. We powered through that and of course we eventually got used to it but I could see how it would have people not wanting to stick around.
