Not really worth it. The room was decent and the price was fair but they really nickle and dime you and they are not upfront. Be sure to ask about both sets of taxes, the resort fee that you pay at the hotel (regardless if your booking online says resort fee included), plus they charge for any check in before 3pm. This is the only hotel in Reno I've stayed at that charged be $20 because I got there at 2pm. The GSR is cheaper with these hidden fees and the staff and resort is MUCH nicer.

Clean and comfortable room with all you need such as mini fridge and k- cup coffee maker. Updated walk- in showers no bath tub is a nice touch. Text Ivy for whatever you need and it is there in a short time. Will stay again. Pillows are soft but they give an extra.

We enjoyed our stay in Reno and have no complaints with the Silver Legacy. Our room was large with a very comfortable bed and 2 comfortable chairs. We had a fabulous view of the mountains & downtown from the 36th floor because our check in clerk upgraded us for a $10 fee...well worth it. Check in process is automated now but a clerk was available to assist. Hotel elevators were very fast and there was never a delay. No housekeeping service during our stay but fresh towels were readily available.

The worst service. Front desk personnel are horrendously rude. Check in line was at least 100 people long. When we finally got the the desk, we were told we had to wait until 3 PM to get our keys to our premium king room after arriving at 2 PM. I asked if the room was actually ready and I was told yes. After some confusing disagreement I was told that if I wanted my keys that I would have to pay $20, which I did, and they would allow me to go to my room. Absolutely ridiculous. People were sitting on the floor with luggage waiting to get their keys because they refused to pay the $20 money grab fee. I have traveled all over the world and have stayed in 2 star to 5 star hotels and if my room was ready, I was given my keys and checked in. I have never heard of anything like this. The check in was only the start of a bad stay for the weekend. The entire hotel reeks of cigarette smoke. The hotel is so dated it feels as if you're in the 1950's. Dealers in the casino are rude and never make eye contact. Eating at the café is not a great experience either. Food is mediocre, at best and the line to get in is at least 30 strong. The only bright side was eating at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. The usual Chris fare that is pretty good. Expensive for what you get but it's OK. The service was excellent from Dylan. Very attentive, not rushed and friendly. I must say it was the best experience at the hotel. We were there for an evening with Elvis as a fundraiser. That was fun and well prepared and enjoyable. It was a one night stand but worthy of mention.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights over a weekend. Fantastic stay. The room was spotless. Comfy beds, fast internet and many channels on the TV. Easy free transport from the airport. Great casino and restaurant selections. Nice pool and Gym. Great Downtown location. The staff were all very friendly. Management should be very proud. I will return on my next trip to Reno.

In general ok, could be very good but there needs to be an investment in the place. front desk seemed to be understaffed to begin. Go to the auto check in service. in the rooms the carpet and the bedding were worn but did seem clean. went into the bar it was pretty much beer and simple drinks, I think a old fashion would have been complex there. All in all ok for a single night stop but it could be so much more.

Nice Resort! Three area casinos rolled into one complex with many restaurants. Beds and pillows comfortable with good room cleanliness also. The view of the mountains was spectacular! Easy walking access to the bowling center for our tournament family.

I was at the Silver Legacy because I had to be in Reno waiting for a flight the next day. Based on reviews, it was the safest to be decent with a lower price. The actual price of the room was very low, and by lack of crowds suggests it was a very low period. However, the resort fees brought it right back up. Resort fees are shady. If I don't have a choice then it should just be part of the price! I didn't use the wifi, swimming pool, or workout room so it was just a nonsense added cost. As others have said, check in is ridiculous. There are a bunch of kiosks and a very small amount of workers. My check in wouldn't work on the kiosk so I had to wait for a person. She was nice, but the kiosks do not create a good customer experience. I did not see one person on my floor and it was dead quiet...so I don't know if that's a reflection on the quietness of the room or the lack of people to make noise. But it was the quietet room I have ever had. The bed was not amazingly comfortable but it wasn't bad either. Like any casino, parking is a project. I would stay again. It was safe and quiet, but it would have to be another good rate. I would not pay some of the very high rates I saw for other days later in the month.

All poor reviews are responded to by management with the same cut-and-paste response. No response concerning what was done to fix the problem. No acknowledgment of front desk understaffing with 1 person, for example, LAME!!

We stayed four nights during Hot August Nights. This is a good place to stay now owned by Caesars. Rates are VERY high during this event and we made reservation 6 months in advance. We tried to check in ONE HOUR early. They said there would be a $20. additional charge!!! We figured we'd go to lunch instead. The menu at Brew Bros. said "Happy Hour starts at 2PM. We thought Great! The waitress said "Sorry...Not during events" Every other Happy Hour in town was 'business as usual'.

Great music when they have it. Wished it was bigger so the stage could be set up nicer with a bigger dance area.. The bar service can take time when its busy, the waitresses are not the friendliest, they just do the job...

They charged me double the deposit I had to go back to reception to get the charge back to my card But above all I advise you not to go on long weekends or rather on holidays since they charge a very high price for what hotels actually are in reno they are pretty old in general

Ordered a long Island Iced Tea and it was nasty. It made me sick later on and had to puke it up. Gross.

Lousy service. There is no excuse on a Wednesday when the casino is dead.

It was me & my sister in 1 room and my mom & dad in another room. On arrival, the casino area & halls of the hotel really stunk due to the cigarette smell. I’m a smoke/vaper, but the smell was pretty overwhelming. It smelled like an old hole in the wall bar in there. The beds were super stiff and the pillows were laughable. They just sank the second you put your head down on them. One great thing about this hotel was all of the stuff to do in the lobby! The little bakery “Sips” was 100% top notch! The staff was always super friendly. Pretty decent coffee & amazing desserts. Also, ai had a turkey sub from there & it was super fresh. The casino was kind of blah, but the arcade over on circus circus side was a lot of fun. Lots of little restaurants and stuff along the way & the gift shop was ok. The view outside our window was beautiful. Not the best, but certainly not the worst experience I’ve had. 3/5.
