Little noisy, but we set in the bar section so it's to be expected.

We have eaten at the Fox in Carson City twice and once at the Reno location. We have thoroughly enjoyed all of our experiences there. The food has been great and the service was as well. Highly recommended checking them out.

The 3 stars are for an easy welcoming environment, decent prices, good drinks and service. The food itself was mostly under done, under seasoned, and they messed up the nachos. they were cold and their special cheese sauce was a little dollap on the bottom of the plate but none on the chips...probably would come back for the beer but not the food

We stopped in for a quick bite and a beer and had a great time! This brewery is in a great location on the outskirts of midtown with a small lot for parking. The food was great too, the burger was HUGE. The buzzed bee honey ale was a great lighter beer. Even on a Tuesday evening the place was quite full and lovely! My only gripe was that twice in the same meal our server forgot about two separate beer orders - otherwise service was good, and the food came out fast!

Awesome beer, atmosphere, and employees!! Irish nachos are a must have, and chicken pot pie is the best in town!

We went to go eat all you can eat chicken wings, the food took forever gave us the first batch of wings incorrect. The sauce of our wings were not the ones we ordered, there was no fries (the server said they ran out of fries. We took waffles fries which were brought 15min later after our wings came out. The second batch was worse the wings were like KFC chicken that's how big it was and not good at all. Our waffle fries were all cold since our wings took forever. The service sucked brought are beers with our food order thats how long it took to get our beers. The server didn't checked on us. He even forgot our food, it's not worth your money for the food our service. Do not recommend for food ever again. We will definitely not go back.

I've tried twice now. Probably won't be back. The first visit our ticket wasn't put in so we didn't get food for an hour. While they covered the food portion of the meal I thought it was interesting that the "recommended" tip was based on double what would have been our bill. Obviously it was easy to customize but still a little odd, to say the least. The second visit was not good at all. We started with wedge salads that did not look like the picture. In fact, they came out missing the sliced egg. They did take them back and threw on an overcooked hardboiled egg (it shouldn't be grey) just cut in half and thrown in. The topper is they serve the wedge salad complete with the lettuce butt. Can't properly wash lettuce when you do that plus that is just a horrendous way to serve a salad. We split the fish and chips and they were not good at all. Crisp on the outside but the other part of the batter was like a doughnut. The fish was odd in consistency. Not pleasant at all. Too many other places in town with good service and quality food. Twice was enough. I think I'll take the walk rather than go back for the likely 3rd strike. UPDATE PER REQUEST - also sent via direct message. Food issue was 3/1. Picture was from another review. Previous experience was 2/12.

on February 24, 2024 my family hosted a baby shower for our first great-grandbaby. Several family members had eaten at the Fox and loved the food and the ambience fit into our theme of Highland cows. My daughter contacted Lee to see if they could accommodate our needs. Lee was so helpful by making suggestion for the menu and the seating for 35 to 40 guests. Our lunch buffet was amazing with Beer Braised Brisket (absolutely delicious), two flavors of chicken wings, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, steamed veggies, salad. We set the party up in the dining area and he allowed us to bring our own decorations and video presentation. Kudos to the staff for all their help to make our guest welcome and cared for. We would definitely recommend The Fox to anyone needing a great venue for a special occasion. Thanks again to Lee and staff! Toni S

I had the pleasure of visiting the Fox Brewery and Pub in Carson several years back and when I found out I was going to be in Reno for work I had to try this location. I stopped in on a Saturday night for quick bite and try the cold beer. It was a busier then usual night with 2 bigger parties and the staff was up front about food may take a bit longer then normal . No big deal and happy they made mention of it up front. I sat in bar area and had wonderful experience. Started with the new 775 and an appetizer of fried pickles. The pickles came in about 10-15 minutes, solid portion and perfect light breading. Not that heavy greasy make ya full kind . For dinner I ordered the Western burger with the El Gaucho Stout. Perfect combination in my opinion. Great experience, food and beer. Make sure to pick up a 4-pack beer on the way out the door. Keep it up Fox...

The food great here! Had pizza and fosh and chips. The pizza was fantastic and the fish and chips were delicious, not too greasy like other places and great flavor. Must dona flight when here, their beer is good and interesting flavors. Love the atmosphere too, chill vibe for sure.

Update I went back to give it a second try and was even more disappointed. 1. Service was still poor. Although the waiter when he finally got to us was friendly enough he tended to forget about us. 2. I ordered a pizza and they didn't have some of the ingredients that were listed on the menu to choose from. If you don't have them don't list them. 3. I understand paying for some condiments such as salad dressings. But to charge for standard condiments such as ketchup, mustard, graded cheese and peppers for the pizza that is very cheep. Especially when you're not told until you get them. If a restaurant can't afford ketchup for their customers then they need to not serve French fries. 4. The pizza was extremely greasy. When the server asked I told him and his reply was "we use authentic mozzarella". I have gone to actual authentic pizzerias and the pizza was never that greasy. I thought I was eating a grease ball instead of pizza. Not sure we will return.

Great spot for a beer and a bite to eat! I hadn't visited since before it got taken over and tbh I was a little worried it'd just be the same thing (ie not great), new name. However, I was happily proved very wrong! A variety of seating options to accommodate couples, large parties, sitting at the bar, and a rooftop patio I think too! Server and staff were great with kids and a big group in our case--fish and chips was delicious as was the beer. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu! Pro Tip--They're also a stamp on the Nevada beer passport!

We recently swung by The Fox Brewery & Pub, located in Midtown Reno. We were seated right away and they let us choose if we wanted a booth or table, so we opted for a table. Our server had specials ready off the top of his head and was super nice! We kicked off our visit with the red chili stew and crispy fried pickles, which we loved. We chose the chili since it kind of sounded like a Goulash, having paprika as one of the ingredients. Next up, the wedge salad stole the show, loaded with blue cheese crumbles and fresh tomatoes. For our main course Angry Mussels, which we didn't like so much because of the broth. It had a bitter taste and we couldn't put our finger on exactly why. The bread pudding was our favorite of the night! It was drizzled with a caramel-whiskey sauce and was packed with cranberries. We absolutely LOVED it. Our server Juan Carlos was so nice and very knowledgeable about the menu! We loved the beers and atmosphere overall. We will definitely be back!!

My wife and I tried their beer at the Brew Haha. It was excellent so the next night we went to their restaurant in Reno. The beer was still excellent and our burgers were great. I had the Brown ale and my wife had the Irish Red. Both were well balanced. I recommend giving The Fox a try!
