One of the best sandwiches in the Reno area! This sandwich is always spot on and consistent, along with the great service. Its nice to go into a establishment with happy people that care. From one small business to another, i Defffinetly Recommend this place!

Read the reviews and wanted to give it a try. When you walk in it’s super misleading. They have the menu and prices posted and not any of the workers mentioned “just so you know these aren’t our prices”. It wasn’t until after I paid and got my receipt that I saw a small sign to the right that said there were price increases. I paid almost $30 for two sandwiches and they were very meh and bland. Not to mention they ran out of their hot chicken so they had to go get Costco teriyaki chicken? I’m okay with that, it happens but food just wasn’t great. My boyfriend got the grand sierra and it came with two thin slices of roast beef and two floppy bacon strips. Portions aren’t worth the price. But it was clean and workers were nice.

Came into Reno for a futsal tournament and hit up this spot. My 11 year old and I agree this may be best sandwich place we've ever been.

Update: The whole "our owner is a Muslim from Pakistan" comment is giving "I have black friends." AKA does nothing to prove your point, especially registering me accusing this place of sexism. Also I wasn't talking about the owner. I was talking about the cashier who dismissed me and made me and my boyfriend feel very uncomfortable. I felt like an object or a piece of property and I don't say that lightly. There was this assumption that he would pay and that he would be giving his name for the sandwiches. There was ZERO eye contact with me when I ordered and complete and full eye contact with my white cis gendered male partner. We BOTH felt weird about this situation and it was THE WORST feeling I've ever had at a restaurant that I will NEVER be returning to. You know what they say: when you have a good experience you tell 3 people but when you have a bad experience you tell 8 people.

I decided to try this for the first time. I got sandwiches to go and drive back to Carson City with them. The sandwich I got was ok but was disappointed that it was not in wheat bread as I asked and it was missing the bacon the Grandest Sierra was suppose to have.

I decided to try this spot out. The food was good, fresh and a good price. I especially liked the don’t treat on me flag they had up. A big cold inside, but overall it was great! Good service as well.

We were traveling through Reno and chose to stop here because it had great reviews. Our experience was subpar. The one "working" restroom was filthy. The door handle was broken and didn't lock. There were multiple puddles of water on the floor as if there were a water leak. The toilet bowl had not been cleaned in a while (raised orange ring around the bowl), trash on the floor...The service was cold and unwelcoming. The person that eventually took our order seemed as though he disliked his job. We ordered 2 sandwiches and one bag of chips. I ordered the #10 on sourdough with pickles. My husband ordered the the #22 on rye with peppers. Mine came on wheat bread with peppers. My husband's came on white topped with cheese and no peppers. And these sandwiches are not cheap. We will never stop here or at any other The Sandwich Spot in the future.

First time customer. Ordered a "Shawn of the Dead". Cashier said two words, "name?" and "ok"... Received the most basic and boring sandwich I could imagine. Cashier didn't even question that there were no toppings ordered because why bother help the customer? Apparently the sandwiches only come with the ingredients next to their name. I got a meat, cheese and bread sandwich. Horrible experience. The person who made the plain sandwich did exactly what was expected.

I really loved this sandwich, comparing to other ones I've had elsewhere got me speechless. It was pretty empty when my boyfriend and myself walked in, around 4pm Thursday on a rainy day, but we still wanted to give it a try. As usual we always ask for the recommendation, so the guy gave us a few options from the menu that were most wanted. My craving was for a warm sandwich so I chose the number two (Croatian thing, but I ask him to add ketchup in it, as he did). That was a big plus from me. First picture shows number #2 and the second one number #1, for the bread we chose sourdough. As you can see in my pictures they look boomb! I must say quality of the ingredients that you can taste with the first bite. Waiting for sandwiches took around 3-5 minutes, depending on the choice you make between the warm or cold sandwich. The guy making our order was actually the owner of the place and his name is Adam! He was so polite and made us feel welcome. Place looked clean and everything was in a perfect place. Thank you for having us today, it was lovely. See you soon!

Wow this place was amazing. Super unassuming as it was in the corner of the plaza with the Target and it was empty when we arrived (about 4pm on a Wednesday). Luckily Yelp recommended this place and me and my girlfriend decided to give it a shot. When we got there, I asked my usual recommendations. The guy was super helpful with rec's. He told us the most popular sandwiches but I had to go with my gut and got the #1 Rocco University on sourdough. My girlfriend got the #2 sourdough with Ketchup added (she's from Croatia). We only waited for about 3 mins before mine came out and another 2 for hers because it was a hot sandwich. As far as the food goes, these were HEAT. I'm a foodie and you can just tell when there are quality ingredients and attention to detail. After being so impressed with the food I looked over and asked the guy at the counter if he was an owner of the shop and he, in fact, was. So cool that he cares enough to be on the front lines at the counter and giving such good service. We talked a lot and he was such a cool guy, so if you see Adam next time, tell him Evan sent you!Adam told me that there are other locations on the west coast and there may be another location coming to Reno soon that he will be apart of. I'm so stoked about this spot, I knew I had to give them and Adam a solid review. By the way, I'm not being nice with this rating. 5/5 stars due to bread quality, meat quality, and overall flavor/texture of the sandwiches. I love these. Only suggestion I would give is to switch to Coke products. Then I noticed they sell Coke by the can. Well played!
