This was an underwhelming experience compared to expectations. Biggest issue was understaffing especially servers, given we went at peak time for breakfast this is largely a management issue.

I have gone there several times, but never again! GOT FOOD POISONING FROM THE EGGS BENEDICT, been sick for 5 days! Terrible service by the owners daughter (her photo is on the fireplace mantle) She was very rude from the moment she took our reservation, and when we got there, took our drink order and never brought it. The Bloody Mary mix was horribly, so much horse radish , you could chew it. Our table was crammed in a tiny spot w no room for us or the people on either side of us to get in and out.

Me and my wife were visiting Reno for the weekend and we ran across this home looking restaurant. The hostess was very nice and welcoming. I ordered the seafood omelet which was very very delicious. The cooks are very good. The food was great! If I'm ever back in Reno I will definitely have my breakfast @ The Stone House Cafe.

I feel like the staff always have a look like it’s an inconvenience. Which I understand when you offer frozen beverages with 5+ ingredients. But I know they have the capacity to be friendly when it’s not busy.

I used to love The Stone House.... however, my breakfast was just so-so when I went last. I usually prefer outdoor seating as the interior is very tight seating and so noisy it feels like you're eating in a cafeteria.

Love coming here when I visit Reno! Feels like such a staple in my family now that we have found this cute little spot. Very cozy, good food, friendly staff. Make sure you get reservations bc this is a coveted spot!Kid-friendliness: Not super kid friendly, but I’m sure kids are still welcome.

Quinoa chicken salad was delicious and a light lunch with friends. Service was timely and server so friendly. 3 of us finished with empty plates and quiet enough to have a pleasant conversation.

Four of us shared an evening meal here. I had the shrimp/lobster/crab deserved in sauce over linguini. It was perfect. So delicious and such quality ingredients. I overate but still was unable to finish it and had a nice lunch of the leftovers. My companions similarly enjoyed their meal. The service was excellent. Could not ask for better. The lemon cake was terrific and the portion was plenty to share. I thought the prices were very reasonable and in line with similar items at comparable restaurants. We all really like the menu and plan to be back regularly.

We love this family owned restaurant! The food and menu are unrivaled. The service is speedy despite the large menu of choices. You won’t be disappointed!
