We brought a good friend from Ireland over tonight to enjoy one of our favorites and it was a nightmare. The food is dry & cold, the recommended wine a cheap white. There’s a young new owner who is over his head, angry and emotional after we presented a recently bought gift card (refused to accept it so we paid cash). I do Not write bad reviews. If it’s a bad experience I don’t judge based on 1 experience. But this was beyond the pale and you’ve been warned. Sad for what was a good place, and for our visitor from Ireland had to witness this.

Stopped by this place after a beautiful and highly recommended drive from Eugene Oregon to Reno Nevada. What a find! Laid back cool vibe to start with. Sat at the bar...Great selection of Bourbons and Tequilas by the way.Turns out the bar tender that night was the owner Brent. In the short time I was there it became apparent that Brent is extremely passionate about every aspect of this restaurant. Brent knows his bourbons and tequilas, and seems to be a tequila connoisseur.I had the Elk Chop which resembled a Tomahawk Steak. Cooked to perfection, served with asparagus and as a bonus came with a liberal shot of bourbon neat. This will be a regular stop between Oregon and Nevada in the future.I highly recommend if ever in the Reno Area.

Best Grilled Cheese of my life! Had the opportunity to come here for lunch this past weekend and could not be more pleased! Service was excellent and timely, the food was melt in your mouth good, and the overall vibe and aesthetic of the restaurant was on point! Order up the Tiger Prawns and the Rock Candy Short Rib Grilled Cheese, you will not be disappointed! Will definitely be coming back hungry for more.

Tried this for the first time and it was horrendous. Burger was soggy, fries were flavorless, and was overpriced for what it was. My boyfriend got sick after eating here. Would not recommend.

Wandered in on a whim - you don’t luck out like this often. Great food. Even better service. Staff is engaging, entertaining, and clearly on top of their game. Owner is involved and clearly cares about his staff - refreshing change of pace. Save room for dessert because they’re ALL amazing.

Unfortunately, we experienced several issues during this visit. First, it was incredibly bright, like a school cafeteria. Tone of super bright LED recessed light bulbs everywhere. When I mentioned something, our server said she agreed and would see what she could do about dimming them. Nothing changed and she didn't bother updating us on it. There was a prix fixe menu for the evening with a salad, entree, and dessert for $55. The salad stated it had almonds on it. No almonds to be found when it came out. We ordered a bread basket and it took 3 reminders to 2 different people and 20 minutes to receive it. We each ordered a ribeye; mine was ordered medium rare. It came out so rare I couldn't eat it. I asked for a box to take it home so I could doctor it up and cook it later. It was also very underseasoned. After our plates were cleared, it took about 25 more minutes to receive the desserts that came with the meal, and we found them to be bland and uneventful. The most frustrating part was when the bill came. It had about 20 line items on it, with multiple additions and subtractions that didn't make sense. The bill showed $142 + tax and we couldn't figure out why. The breakdown of what we ordered was: 2 prix fixe meals @ $55 each = $110, 2 wine glass add-ons @ $5 each = $10, and a bread basket for $8, for a total of $128. Very straightforward. Since it took so long to get everything, we decided not to even bother asking what the extra $14 was being charged for and paid the overage, plus tipped generously. I'd really like to know why we were overcharged, particularly for the subpar ambiance, mediocre food, long wait times for food service, and missing ingredients. I'm really disappointed, as I remember in years past, this being a nice place to eat.

Bummed. We come here all the time. The service was mediocre at best. And the potatoes had so much horseradish they were literally not eatable. The waiter didn't seem to care and didn't offer anything Else. Just told us that the pre fix meal. You chose it. The steak was good and the dessert is always delicious. Just makes me question coming back again.

Went here for date night based on various reviews and Top 10 lists of for date night. Food was absolutely delicious. But the ambiance could use a little tweaking. Everything was so bright it felt like you're in a cafeteria. If the lighting in the bar area was at 60% and they added small table lamps, it would elevate the atmosphere by several levels. With that said, it's a great family restaurant. If you like bright and loud, then this would be the place to go for date night.

The Wild Boar Schnitzel was really outstanding, tho the portion size way over the top for me! I had enough left over for two more lunches. Everything was yummy, especially the sauce. I highly recommend it! The only reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5 for food is because my husband and I shared the charcuterie board as an appetizer and it was good but not great.
