Bawarchi in Sparks, NV lived up to my expectations, after reading the reviews. Food was lip smacking good! Bawarchi means "the chef"! The chef at this restaurant does hold up that reputation of culinary art! I had Gobi 65 and Mysore masala dosa one night and went back the 2nd night to try their samosas and Hyderabadi veg biriyani. Everything I tried was flavorful! One of the best Indian foods, I have had in the US in a long time!

I honestly think their food is some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The butter Chicken is so rich (deep dark red gravy) and is incomparable to other restaurants I’ve had across the country. The saags are delicious as are the dosa’s. Dosa came out absolutely stuffed and had a wonderful flavor in its own right.One thing I’m confused about….my husband accidentally ordered Togo from the Reno location assuming it was the same food (same logo, Sparks seems to be the second location) ….do not make the same mistake. We’ve ordered to-go from Sparks before but when we opened up the containers from the Reno location Everything we ordered wasn’t even close to the same and was super average. Not horrible but not even close to as good. Naan was thin like a chapati almost and had no crust, butter chicken was completely watered down and an entirely different color (light orange, barely any chicken in it). Saag also tasted less vibrant.Once you’ve had food from the Sparks location, all other average Indian food becomes a disappointment. Allegory of the cave.Not sure what the deal is between these two restaurants but they aren’t even close to the same in terms of quality. Sparks is absolutely the location to go to!
Never did I imagine that I'd find one of my favorite Indian restaurants near Reno. This place has fantastic Indian food -- we ordered so many different dishes and all of them were fantastic. They catered the lunch and dinner for the welcome events during our wedding weekend in Tahoe, and it was such a perfect experience. Sunil was an absolute delight to work with throughout the wedding planning process.

Fantastic place. Food is great. Nice atmosphere. Highly recommend visiting.Vegetarian options: They informed us that they have complete separation in the kitchen between veg and non-veg. Based on the food we had, I felt that is true 100%. Great veg food.

I did a take out today in the afternoon, a chicken biryani, chicken Chettinad and garlic naanI’ve been trying different Indian restaurants around Reno and sparks but bawarchi sparks biryani was really good, felt emotional after having a nice biryani after a long time.The taste was close to home.Would like to appreciate the hands made it and packing was amazingCheers guys..!!
