If you want Salvadoran food (dishes) with Mexican food flavor, El Pulgarcito is the place for you.But if you want to try Salvadoran food (dishes) this is NOT the place.Pupusas with cheese taste like Mexican quesadillas. The cheese they use is the same one they use for quesadillas.Marriage looks like mashed beans and rice. It looks and tastes like the beans they put in burritos. The flavor of Salvadoran dishes has the flavor of Mexican food.Perhaps the only good thing I saw in the food is that the pupusas are not greasy. But the flavor or seasoning of Salvadoran food is not Salvadoran. It is my observation of this place that is called “The Little Thumb”.

Chicken Enchiladas with green sauce are the best!!!! Quality ingredients rock! It’s in a strip mall so they do what they can for seating. Mom and pop place so order ahead. Best chicken enchiladas with spicy green sauce and we love it!!

I want to leave a good review. The pupusas are just awful now. They used to be so good but lately they're terrible. So sad. Get them right or just don't serve them. And so pricey

Serving portions were very little rice and beans. I hardly had meat, beans and cheese in my papusa I will not be returning, thank you.

Awesome place and super nice people. Good food. Lots of room. Although the price is expensive for what you get. 16$ for a drink, 3 tacos, rice & beans.

Classic taco shop atmosphere. Friendly quick service. The food was really good. It has traditional Mexican and Salvadoran dishes. I had the bean and cheese pupusa, it comes with a cabbage slaw and was outstanding. The different hot sauces were good. We also got tacos and a quesadilla, everything was very good.

I have been to El Pulgarcito numerous times and not once have I been let down!! The pupusas and coctel de camarones are delicious and the staff there are very friendly. I always recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic Mexican/Salvadoran restaurant! One of my absolute favorites.

El Pulgarcito was recommended by my friend from El Salvador and this did not disappoint. Got a few pupusas and a sope to go. Pupusas run at $2.99 and are freshly made, typically taking about 20 mins to make. The sope was great too. I would've loved to try their Salvadoran tamale but unfortunately they don't make them anymore. They combine the convenience of a grab and go restaurant with plenty of comfortable seating in an open spacious layout. This is the place to go for pupusas in Reno. Can't wait for my next visit!
