This a a cute quiet place to get a good brew, watch the game, sit at the bar, or sit down for lunch with friends. I always come here with my colleagues. Great Basin is always my go to whenever I have family or friends visiting me and want to go out. I love the chill environment and our waiter was super nice ?.

Stopped by at 4 in the afternoon on a Wednesday looking for a pint or two.There were some folks sitting at the bar but every one had been taken care of and all had food/drink. I sat down at an empty spot at the bar. I made eye contact with the bartender and he walked to the other end of the bar and completely ignored me. He leaned up against the counter, grabbed a bar towel and started conversing with another guest.I looked to my left, made eye contact and waved at the hostess, and she proceeded to text on her cellphone. I sat there without a menu and watched both of them for long enough and decided to leave.

It has gone downhill really hard. Tightwad Tuesday used to be a deal. I got a beer around 5% for $7.50. even the cheapest beer on that special is $5. Ridiculous. Nothing is a good deal anymore. Food is ok, but was better before their recent changes.

A little spendy, but my dinner will also be lunch tomorrow!Dietary restrictions: This is delicious Pub food and BBQ, So take that into account.Parking: Parking in the front and the back.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome. It is a brewery/ bar/ pub, but friendly people hang out here.Wheelchair accessibility: There is handicapped ♿ parking front and rear. The spots out back are closer to the door, which is nice and wide, and all level on the floor.

I used to love this place. Used to have the best fish and chips in town. It’s still a decent little joint to go to, but beware of when you go. If they have an event going on, it could be quite rowdy in there, if noises a factor to you. But all around the food is slightly above average. Services hit or miss, but that’s just about anywhere nowadays.Parking: There are a few street parking spots in the front of the building off of Victorian Avenue. There is a larger lot behind the building, again, not too many spots. There is a free parking garage as well in the back.

Folks must come here for the beer. We came for dinner, and were disappointed for 3 of out of our 5 meals. Beer was great, but if you can't enjoy both the food and the drinks, it's a no win in my book. We dropped 160 on dinner, and 3 of us walked away unsatisfied. Mostly the food was just mediocre. For example, my "chips" with my tasteless fish were like the bagged precooked Oreida fries at the supermarket...yuck. Bar food is not normally spectacular, but I guess we expected better food based on reviews. It was packed on this Sat, so we may be alone in this review, but won't be back. Also, service was sketchy...the waitress was overloaded. We asked and asked again....she just had too many tables.

We were so happy something was open in downtown Sparks before noon besides the casino! We were greeted by a smiling hostess that welcomed us right in and offered inside or outside seating. We chose outside so we could watch sparks unfold!Anthony was our server and came right away for our drink orders. We each had the light beer and it was perfect! I have no idea the name of it but it was still nice and bold with plenty of flavor. Since we couldn't decide on one or two meats, we chose the meat sampler platter and we're so glad we did! Everything on it was delicious, absolutely delicious! Neither one of us could pick our favorite sausage, they were all so unique and tasty we enjoyed them all. The pork belly was to die for, just melts in your mouth like it should!! Then we got to the pig wings, perhaps my favorite thing on the platter!! We ordered the platter with the sauces on the side so everything was naked and it all stood out on it's own, no sauces needed!Great service, great beer and great food, we highly recommend and will definitely be back!
