I enjoy the authentic meals and the extra prep time they put into making things from scratch and so fresh. Great customer service even when the place is packed.

We are on a quest to try every Mexican restaurant in the Reno/Sparks area. Tonight we decided to visit La Fuentes on Baring in Sparks.Since we tend to dine early, we were the only patrons at that moment. Service was quick and friendly. All service personnel were helping each other so we wanted for nothing. The wife ordered a carnitas tostada plate. I ordered a bowl of albondigas and a vegetarian salad. The tostadas were on a four inch crispy tortilla with chopped bits of pork, beans, tomatoes, lettuce, tiny drops of crema and guacamole. The wife reports that the tostadas were okay, a bit below average. The albondigas soup was good. The vegetarian salad was not some much. However, my weird taste buds demanded that I combine the two dishes. With flour tortillas, the mashup turned into something that I enjoyed. The interior was the standard Mexican cultural display. The booths are uncomfortable due to the high seat height and short seat. Stick to the tables. We will probably try again if we are passing by but not a destination restaurant.

Best albondigas soup in a Mexican restaurant. Meatballs the right size, veggies crisp and delicious. My little ones love them!
Love the decor, the food has not been what it was in the past. Had THE WORST fish taco ever, chopped up something ( maybe a fish stick?)with salsa and a spoon of sour cream, nothing else!Prices are ok, in line with the times. Ok portions, friendly owners. Im sorry I had to down grade my previous 5 star review. But something happened to the quality here in the last year.

I wasn't a big fan of the food. The carne asada burrito had a lot of hard pieces in it and lettuce. I think the food is very middle of the road Mexican. Service was really good and so was the atmosphere but there's a lot better places in reno.

This is the best Mexican food we’ve had since moving to Sparks this year. I ordered takeout on a Saturday afternoon and it was ready in 15 minutes and the service was great. We ordered a chicken burrito meal, the la fuente combination (burrito, taco, enchilada) with shredded beef, and the fried ice cream. Everything was delicious and we will definitely return!
