The food is pretty good. Thier Kool-aid is fire. Their fried chicken is decent not great The gumbo is bland. Didn't feel like they let the Roux develop long enough. Would definitely be back though.

We’ve eaten here two other times before today and really enjoyed the meal. We ordered lunch today as they opened at 11 am. That was a terrible mistake. The chicken was reheated from yesterday as it was hot in some places and cold in others and simply tasted like warmed up fried chicken. The greens were salty and cold -magazine warmed up. Sweet potatoes were very nice as was the freshly fried okra.For $55 I think we deserved fresh not reheated food. Also, be aware they charged us 3% to use a credit card without informing us of this. That is certainly their privilege to do so, but it seems they should inform us of this.Unfortunately, we will not be back. That is unfortunate as they are so warm and friendly.

Mac and cheese forsure is the worst iv ever had tastes like cafeteria style food, the mash potatoes are the same as the bag "just add water" grainny taste.. for the high prices first and last for me I know brands and seasonings like the back of my hand and this isn't proper southern I don't know if they having a bad time but.... this isn't gonna keep some of us coming back I apologize for leaving a bad review but I am true to my experiences at these local restaurants some are good some are rip offs

I ordered the catfish with the red beans and rice and a lemonade. Everything was fantastic and I didn't wait long at all!
I had my Certified Service Dog with me, and the greeting was chilly. According to the proprietor, Service Dogs, in the past had been problematic in the restaurant. The waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was great. I had pork chops, mac & cheese, greens, and red beans, and rice. The red beans were sweet, not the savory that I was expecting. Peach cobbler was good. Better as a leftover. By the end of the meal, the proprietor had come by to tell us how well-behaved my dog had been throughout the meal. I would go back again.
Catfish Dinner. The fish was a bit salty but crunchy and delicious. I should have double up on the collard greens cause it was the best collard greens I had in awhile.

Retired professional chef going crazy in Reno trying to find good flavors in food in a restaurant. Well M&M's Southern Cafe fits the bill let me tell you that. Long story short " I'LL BE BACK" lol. The sweet potato pie is to die for!
I'll start by saying I'm not even a fan of southern food, but I like to try new places. I looked up restaurants near me and found this little gem. I had the chicken and waffles with a side of collard greens. I loved the crispy seasoned breading on the chicken. The chicken stayed piping hot the entire time I ate it and I eat sloooow. The waffles were great. The collard greens were excellent. I was so impressed that I decided I needed a lemonade to go, which was also excellent. This isn't a grab and go restaurant, so you'll wait a minute for your food, but it's worth the wait. Cherry on top is the staff is friendly and attentive, which I'm finding more and more rare these days. I'll definitely come back to try something else here.

Delicious. Perfectly cooked okra! Ribs were tender and moist. Husband had gumbo and it was so good. Service was friendly and fast. Will definitely go again.
