I honestly enjoy coming to this business. I come here 4-6 times a month and have never been disappointed. All of the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Alex, my bartender/server, this evening, was great. He made sure I had everything that I needed to enjoy my meal and drinks. They always play great music that is pleasing to the ear while you eat and talk with friends or family. Reasonable prices with Fanta service. I highly recommend stopping by for a good time.

Over the last year, we set out every Tuesday on a long mission to find the best tacos in the city when we stubbles upon Mari Chuy’s on C st. The fish tacos are crispy and are perfectly paired with their specialty sauce. The salsa and the sauces are made fresh daily and you can tell the difference. This place is family owned. They are attentive and they care, you can tell by the way they take time to get to know their customers. This is our go-to place every Tuesday for fish tacos. If you have not had them, you are missing out.

I honestly don't know why anyone would want to eat here. My Dad and I went here around 1pm and saw only one group seated and despite thinking it was odd for lunch that we might as well give it a try as we were headed to the movies next door. Well the people seated actually were friends of the owner/manager/server who was seated with them and proceeded to come and take our order. He was friendly but very inattentive as he was happier to sit at the table in the middle of the room conversing with friends. I ordered 2 beers and each one was not a full glass with the second glass being even less filled than the first. For food I ordered Cheese Enchiladas which came out burnt but not terrible. Honestly we were there for just over an hour and no one came in besides us so maybe the word is out but I definitely won't be visiting again.

Don't waste your time and money here!!!!!! (Speaking from a big event) I went to Mari Chuys with peers and family because of an event. There were over 40 of us and this event was pre-planned and the restaurant was still all over the place. Very disappointing and disorganized! Let's start off with the food, the food was very mid and not tasty. The chicken was extremely dry. The manager charged some of us $35 per person and the other guy charged us $30 per person which like i said, disorganized. Majority of us only ordered a couple maybe 2-3 tacos and still was charged $30-$35 per person. And I was told A La Carte tacos were only $3 a piece. The drinks. I have nothing bad to say about the drinks but the service not so much. the bartender lady was nice, but she did take extremely long but that's understandable because again, there were over 40 of us. But still, a little acknowledgment that you see us and are getting to us in a timely matter would be appreciated. The service was horrible and very much unpleasant. There was another guy serving food and just bringing unnecessary food no one at the tables ordered so it was a disorganized messy mess. The manager kept getting mad at everything and it became a very hostile environment. He yelled very loudly at the staff which was unprofessional. Don't work at a restaurant if you can't handle being under pressure. The other guy server also didn't offer good customer service he just looked mad at everyone and very displeased. The next morning we went to eat across Mari Chuys, and we were expressing our poor service, apparently it's a family business run by strictly family? I dont know if that's right or not, just stating what I've heard. Apparently business has been going downhill for a while and the "manager" talks down on the owner and talks good upon himself because he is saving the restaurant. Also, I only paid for my wife and I, the guy server charged us $64 after taxes and I left a $5 tip because I tip based off of service and we were treated poorly by him, and after pending charges my bill statement says $74 and some change. So I'm guessing he tipped himself?? NOT RIGHT AND ACCEPTABLE AT ALL. Don't come here unless you want to get treated poorly and up charged :)
