This is a review for Their new location in the N. Valley. The service was slow and appeared to be unorganized. The food was flavorless and average at best. The people were nice, but seemed to be overwhelmed and understaffed.

Drove past on our way home and decided to grab dinner out since I forgot to defrost protein. Rivas is definitely middle of the line Mexican food and I'm never sad after I eat. I am full and enjoy the taste but it isn't my first pick every time. I must say they make a really good torta so I get that every time. The horchata was very sweet and not my style. The taquitos were okay but not very flavorful. The restaurant is clean and simple but the seats are uncomfortable. The cashier is always pretty short with us and will try to make you order quicker even if you have questions about the menu. So I always go in knowing what I want to avoid that interaction. Overall a pretty middle of the road mexican restaurant with a pretty delicious steak torta.

My first time ever eating here. I ordered through DoorDash. I live about 8 miles from the restaurant so naturally the food arrived a little cold. Nothing against them for that. The food was actually pretty good. I got the wet steak burrito and plain nachos. It kind of reminds me of a little burrito place I used to frequent when I lived in the Bay area. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because my steak was slightly overcooked. But overall really good food and huge portions.

I must admit this place surprised me with the portion size, taste & freshness very very good food. The employees were friendly & welcoming. The only downside is that the prices are inflated. 2 orders of steak nachos were over $25.00, a little expensive for my taste. If you have some extra money to burn, give them a try it is well worth it.
