So it's been well over 30 years since the last time I stepped foot inside a Sizzler, heck it could be longer than that.Today I went to dinner at a location in Reno, NV for dinner while waiting for tires to get done on my truck.First thing I noticed was a very dreary decor, like it screams renovation. But there was plenty of seating to choose from. Service here was pleasant and attentive. I can say that I've never had my drinks replaced faster than I did here. As soon as I was finishing one, the next one was one the table.I ordered steak and unlimited fried shrimp. The food came quick. The steak was on point. There was more than enough shrimp that I didn't need to ask for more. And the mashed taters I got as a side were done right.I do regret that I did not get the salad bar, but now that I know this is here, I will be back.Highly recommended ?

I haven't been here in years (10 or so) and forget it has a great salad bar. However, this place needs a major deep clean and/or a remodel! Blinds are very old and dirty, along with the carpet. Which is why I know remember why I haven't been back in years. They haven't cleaned in a very long time. I think if they do, it could be a successful place.

Service is so bad, it makes you want to leave. The salad bar was better then usual. The hot bar had cold potatoes wedges. My steak was tough but tasty. The baked potato was over cooked and was a dark brown throughout. Single diners beware if you get up and go to the salad bar a 2nd time they will clear your table. There better options in town for over priced steaks. Enjoy!

Service was okay. Workers didn't even act like they cared but at least they brought us our food and drinks. We always tip, either way.The food, however, was nothing compared to the Sizzlers in my hometown. We didn't enjoy anything I ordered except for the side of mashed potatoes and gravy and a salad made by ourselves in the salad bar. The clam chowder was edible but nothing else. I'm mostly disappointed because their meals are quite overpriced and the food is not good. Overall, I wouldn't go to this location again.

Sizzler has been one of my favorite restaurants since I was a little kid. I am so glad it survived through covid!! Its a little outdated inside but that's one of the things that makes it so nostalgic. Not only is it super nostalgic every time I come in, I always leave happy and extremely full. I love the simplicity of the salad bar. It is alway predictable good- fruit, salad, spaghetti, soup, pudding, tacos/nachos, and ice cream!! And how could I forget the cheesy toast!!! Mmm so freaking good. Probably one of the cheapest buffets you can get in Reno. Not as nice as the fancy casino buffets but the ingredients are fresh and the servers are always nice. Plus you don't have to walk through a casino or wait in a giant line.

If I could give this a zero, I would. Very disappointed. Date Night ruined... First experience here was awful. Staff was very inattentive. Food was poorly made and presented, I have never seen anything more falsely advertised. It was basically a chicken nugget and a beef stick. I swear for $20 or less I could've gotten this exact meal at the foodmaxx next to it and it would've tasted better. My boyfriend's "Malibu Chicken" was basically a Tyson Patty with a piece of deli ham and a slice of swiss slapped on top microwaved to perfection. For $50, this was very disappointing.

When we arrived about 5:30 PM there were 3 to 5 tables with people. I was seated and asked if I would like some bread. I said yes thank you. He went to get bread and drinks he came back a while later with drinks. We really never saw him again for a while. We went to the Buffet 3, 4, 5 times. When we did see him we asked for bread! He told us he would go get us some bread. again it was a while before we saw him and asked about the bread he then said “oh we’re so busy tonight that we’re not making bread”. I asked him to refill my water and waited and waited and waited finally he returned with water as we were about to leave. Very disappointed in his service we didn’t leave much of a tip. But as we walked out the door we noticed several tables where people were eating bread. Where’s the bread?? Don’t offer us bread if you’re not going to give us bread. And please don’t lie to us.

VERY disappointed in this visit. We have been going here for at least 30 years, and lately it has been lacking. Cashier was great, waitress was great, but I ordered a steak medium rare. It came out with a "rare" tag on it but it was well done. I sent it back and the next steak was RAW in the middle, with a tag that said "medium rare." Will not be back.

What a blast from the past! I was born and raised in Las Vegas and Sizzler moved out of the city when I was young. I used to love to eat at Sizzler so when I saw it in Sparks, I knew I needed to check it out! I brought my whole family here the other night for dinner and we enjoyed it very much. When you walk in, there's a menu board and the cashier to take your order. Once you pay for your food you go find somewhere to sit and give your receipt to your server. You pay at the register and there isn't a place to tip on the receipt so bring cash to tip. The food was good, reliable like I remembered. I wish there was more to the lobster tail than what we got but everything was cooked very well. No complaints, our server was attentive and pleasant. The restaurant was quiet and not very busy. I definitely recommend checking out this nostalgic place but don't forget the cash tip. :)

The Sizzler is only a poor shadow of what it once was. The Sizzler in Sparks served up a plate of spectacular sadness - especially for what was touted as the "manager's Special" for Sunday 8/28/22. I really wanted a steak and for $27.99 I had my expectations up. I didn't expect what I got. A very thin piece of mostly fat that ended up being only @ 8 small bites of what meat I could find. The cooking job on that Child's Portion was uninspiring to say the least - furthermore, that "special" only came with one side. I chose the baked potato - it was very small as well. I will never set foot in that place again. On top of that, my Wife really wanted the salad bar, but she took a look at it and decided to get a chicken sandwich instead. She said it was good, but I think she was being overly generous from other chicken sandwiches I've seen. I left still hungry.

We will never go back. For the price we paid, the quality was lacking big time. We use to love going to Sizzlers, but sadly it has gone down hill

Shrimp Shrimp Shrimp was tasty and the sauce was rich and delicious. If you are hungry and want to eat something fast, but don't want fast food this is a decent choice. The salad bar was okay. Nothing was great, but nothing was awful.

As other reviewers have said, the days of a decent meal at Sizzler are gone. Let me first say that the service was very good. From the cashier to our waiter, they were friendly, efficient and took good care of us. Now, the food. Most of the time I get salad bar but the bar food was looking rather sad, and they were out of wings. So son and I ordered steak and jumbo shrimp, hubs got steak and Malibu chicken. The shrimp was decent, albeit more of a medium size as opposed to jumbo. My potato was scrawny, they loaded it with a huge glob of butter and sour cream. Butter didn't melt. All I tasted was the cold condiments. My steak, ugh. Definitely overcooked and the edges were burnt, and it tasted like it was cooked on an old charcoal grill that hasn't been cleaned in a long while. I couldn't eat it. Hubs Malibu chicken was flat like it had been pounded thin. Cheese toast was decent. About the best thing was the grape Rickey, son and I love those and can't find them anywhere else. Otherwise dinner was gross and definitely not worth the money spent. We won't be back. I now know why there is only one Sizzler left in town. I wouldn't be surprised if this location closed in the near future. Don't bother eating here. You will likely be disappointed.

The sizzler brand has definitely fallen from the chain of restaurants it was in the 80's and 90's, but if you know that, then this restaurant will not be a disappointment. My opinion, this restaurant is on the top end of the chain nowadays! It's very clean and the staff is attentive and friendly. I stopped in for the salad bar so I can't comment on the other food, but the salad bar was very well kept. Clean and stocked with fresh ingredients. Everything I could ask for in a quick salad bar dinner.
