Great happy hour. Get in line early if you want a table. Lovely view of the lake and yummy food and cocktails.

We visited for happy hour at 4 pm. We got a window seat and had excellent service from Mandy. The food was good. The mango mojito was amazing! Would pass on the lettuce wraps (but only $6). The ginger soy sauce was a really good and I used it on everything.

I didn't make reservations, but now I know why they're recommended. The view is spectacular. I didn't get a window table and I STILL had a great view. They laid this place out well. The bar staff are friendly (and BUSY!) and prompt. Me and my family had a good time.

The food was absolutely perfect, starting from fresh delicious bread, amazing main dishes, and perfect dessert and drink. The atmosphere is beautiful. Seating by a window with a pretty snow view. The server we got was okay, but the food was perfection.Their asparagus is exceptional!!! Worth the extra charge to substituteThe shiitake mushrooms, coconut ginger broth and furikake rice was absolutely perfect on the Alaskan Black Cod

If you have an occasion to celebrate and want some delicious steak or seafood while in Tahoe, you must go to the Chart House. My first time here was with my date for junior prom in high school and have come additional times over the years. I must say food and service have been consistent through the years. On this visit our reservations was at 6:45, just in time to catch the sunset through their large windows. Service is what you would expect from a steakhouse. Food was delicious, all our dishes were perfectly prepared/cooked. The only downside of our dinner was they ran out of prime rib and crème brûlée for the night. Both items my daughter wanted, so she settled for a filet mignon and sorbet. The waiter brought out a complimentary slice of mid pie for us, which was nice. Pricing was what you would expect for a steakhouse. This place does get busy, even on weekdays, so make sure you make reservations.

We have been going to Chart House for years primarily for special occasions. Our last visit earlier this week was not what we have grown to expect. The service and ambiance was fine but we had several issues with the food. The filet and New York steaks were cooked to order but the meat was definitely were not quality cuts.......dry and tuff. We had a big group and everyone who had rice with their meal found it to be cold. Our server apologized and brought out another order of rice and it was cold as well. We were told the warmer was turned down and that's why the rice was cold. The server did apologize and took an appropriate amount off our bills. For desert we were also disappointed in the crème brulee. Chart House only offers a sampler and it was not good. I hope they consider changing back to the traditional crème brulee. The other deserts were acceptable. I will likely return but hope that Chart House will focus on the quality of the food.

Anniversary dinner with the most spectacular view of the lake. We were surprised with Happy Anniversary printed on our menus. Appetizers, entrees, dessert and cocktails were amazing!!

The food was not bad by any means but I was somehow expecting more after reading all the reviews. We were a large party and they were very accommodating. Our server was very kind and did a great job. The dessert was amazing!!! I say the dessert was better than the entrees.

While awaiting our table a customer retuned from the parking lot, asking for a manager due to one of the employees allegedly acting in an aggressive manner in the parking lot. We were then shown to our table and introduced to our very dirty silverware (food still stuck on several spoons). Upon alerting our waiter (Jeff), he jokingly made a motion to lick the spoons and then took them without ever providing new ones. We asked for bread (which never arrived), and ordered drinks. Upon a long wait, my drink was terrible. (I never return drinks but I did so here). One dining companion ordered a fancy show type drink, and they did a nice job on the presentation. For appetizers, we ordered a salad and soups. The salad was terrible. Inedible. The soup was meh. Overall it did not feel as though we were going to get a high class level of food quality and cleanliness. Accordingly, we opted to leave. When the waiter returned to take our continued order, we politely told him that we were not satisfied with the food quality and asked him for a check. He slammed the plate down and stormed off in an angry huff, never to be seen again. The manager then arrived, and handled things in a professional courteous manner. She asked what was wrong, we told her and again asked for our check. She then comped our meal and we left to find a better dining experience. FYI: We have been going to this venue for more than 30 years. All other times have been very good, to great. I'm not sure what happened to this place which was for decades our favorite.

Lani our server was the highlight of our evening. So caring and genuine. Made sure we had a wonderful evening. The only sad thing is they don't have a salad bar anymore because they can't get enough people to work. The sign of our times and bad economy I guess.

Personal attention from the moment we checked in to the moment we left. Our waitress (Brianna) was delightful and took good care of our party of 4. The food was amazing and the view of the sunset was spectacular! All around perfection!

We were a table of 8. Drinks and salads came out ok. Dinner was served and 6 entrees were ok. Two were cold and the mashed potatoes on another were cold. The wait staff was helpful and took the cold plates away. When returning, an entree of salmon and shrimp was returned on a cold plate and was not acceptable. A side order of mashed potatoes was brought, and it too was cold. The tuna entree was ok. I do not understand how the chef could allow food to be delivered cold to the table not once, but twice. The check was adjusted for the salmon and the mashed potatoes, but the issue pretty much ruined the evening for the table. When three out of five plates are affected, that is not acceptable. Very disappointed.
