Good, traditional steak house. Excellent steaks. Great wine list and cocktails. What sets this place above others is the impeccable service. Our waiter, John, was so warm and attentive. He made us feel welcomed and elevated the dining experience. John is 100% the best part of dinner. It was my daughter's 7th birthday and we treated her to a nice steak dinner. John brought her TWO desserts-cake and chocolate covered strawberries...complimentary. It made her day and this birthday was so special. I highly recommend this place for special occasion dinners. The ambiance was perfect.l with the thick velvet curtains and leather booths.

My wife and I have dined at Ciera numerous times since 2018 and it never disappoints us. It is fine dining with exceptional service. The Oysters Rockefeller is a delicious appetizer. This time we had salmon and rack of lamb, very very good. If you want to have a dinner to remember, make a reservation at Ciera. Don't forget to ask for a booth!

While in South Lake Tahoe for skiing, we decided to throw in a nice dinner. We weren't familiar with Ciera Steakhouse, and choose it from options on Open Table. The food and ambiance are exactly what we imagined. Lush velvet curtains separating the booths, crooner songs playing, formal service, and well done food. Best of all the prices were great! The nicest touch to end the evening was the coffee service, with the beautiful creams and options like chocolate shavings and cinnamon sticks.

This place deserves way more than 5 stars a category. We came here for my birthday. We made reservations a week early. We made it for 5:30. We went on Thursday for the pre fixe menu. If you want a nice private area, request a booth. They're pretty big yet cozy and have high, beautiful drapes they close for privacy. We both said it was the most romantic restaurant experience we've ever had. All the food was delicious! We got French onion soup, bison carpaccio, escargot, lamb chops, steak with red wine demi, cheesecake, and chocolate lava cake. It was my favorite restaurant experience and food I've ever been to. Our waiter even gave me some chilled chocolate strawberries over dry ice, so it looked smokey and a birthday card signed by everyone. John, our server was impeccable! Lee has worked in restaurants his whole life and was very impressed with John. Very personable and gave us our space but always managed to come whenever we needed anything. His timing was perfect, too. Everything seemed so magical. I can't wait to go back! 100 stars!

We ate the prefix menu and the food was nice. The fish was a little bit overcooked, but it was still tasty. The filet mignon was really good. I enjoyed the escargot with the pastries the most. don't fill up on the bread.

I had a party of 7 and we decided to dine at this establishment for my 31st birthday. A few things to note, the waiter was great, but the food took over an hour and 20 minutes to be brought to our table. After my friends and I finished our meals my brother asked the restaurant staff if they provide a military discount, and the staff said yes immediately. We received the check which included the 20% gratuity. We understand with a large party like ours this is common. The problem that we saw immediately is the staff wrote in a $205 tip on the check, including total, and signed for it. Keep in mind the 20% gratuity is already included. I calmly went up to the host or manager, whom I believe was named Monica and asked why someone from her staff wrote in their own tip when gratuity was already included. Monica then proceeded to tell me that they didn't have to include the military discount and were just being nice, therefore she said they included the tip to balance the discount.I responded stating there's already a 20% gratuity included and that she wanted almost a 40% tip, considering the bill was just above $1000.Monica began yelling loudly in my face restating everything and even called me cheap. I was very calm the entire time and was honestly blown away that she was yelling at me, due to her being in the customer service industry and because it was my birthday nonetheless. My friends and I stated we were not paying a 40% tip and due to her yelling in my face we didn't feel more should be said. We signed and paid for the correct amount that we were supposed to pay. Once we left the restaurant Monica proceeded to follow us and yelled at security for them to kick us out of the casino. I'm honestly hurt that someone like this would even act this way towards people, especially on their birthday. There's a way to communicate, and certainly this was not handled properly.I would never suggest going to this place if you are in Tahoe. There are far better restaurants that will treat you with respect.

Best steakhouse in Lake Tahoe. A little pricey but it’s worth it. Menu has fixed pricing for $60 or $70. Curtained private booths. No matter what dessert you order, you also get chocolate covered strawberries served over smokey dry ice. Pics here of NY strip and seafood

Best service experience from our server. They are friendly and attentive to our needs. Food is wonderful and service is top notch. We've been coming to this place regularly and today's dinning experience is the best! Please share our feedback to our two servers. Thank you for your great and friendly service.

Tried to other steak houses up the road from here, and this place was better than them. Worth the short walk over. Loved the decor and atmosphere, had an old Vegas style look and feel. Service was great, and the food was excellent.

Food was perfectly cooked. Get the tomahawk it was a great tasting piece of steak. And if you want to feel special then request the booth where the curtains can be drawn, and you are having a private dinner just like that..

This was our second time dining here over the last month. The service is outstanding and the food never disappoints. Thank you Saul for recommending the lobster escargot. It was delicious!

This is our favorite go to restaurant. However, last night was a total miss. We had asked for a booth in our reservation, and the hostess/manager let us know right away it wasn't available. Not as big of a deal however we ended up getting sat my the kitchen. The fan was loud. The bigger issue was the service this time. We rant and rave and refer to this restaurant to all our local friends in El Dorado County. The server rushed us, the bus boy rushed us, the bus boy complained he was busy. the booths behind us were empty for an hour and the restaurant was not full. We ordered espresso martinis that tasted like coffee and vodka and were poured in front of us and splattered on my sleeve. When the waiter placed my salad in front of me I had to pull away as the back of his hand nearly grazed my chest. It was like wth is going on? It was just a bad rushed experience for the very first time. We spent over $400 and honestly felt for the first time it wasn't worth it. We normally have a wonderful experience and feel we can take our time between courses and the ambiance is what draws us back in. I hope this is not an indication of what to expect. Very very disappointed as we treat ourselves to Ciera every time we come to Tahoe. We live only 1.5 hours away so it is fairly often. Not good. I am very disapponted.
