Views unlike anything else! Staff is incredible and atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. Food is just “ok” and overpriced for the quantity and flavor.

I haven't been to every restaurant in Lake Tahoe but I've been to a lot of them and Edgewood has to be the best. I got the steak duo and it was cooked to perfection. The server was attentive but not annoying and knew exactly the perfect time to refill water or check in. The view is picturesque and can't be beat.

Arrived at Edgewood Restaurant for a quick dinner and received prompt service and great suggestions from Matt, the bartender, while thoroughly enjoying the exceptional drinks. Will certainly be back for more.

One usually has high expectations for a restaurant claiming to provide top notch food, service, atmosphere and views. While the views of the lake were exceptional, and the service was attentive and professional, but not haughty or obnoxious like some fine dining restaurants, many of these supposed high level experiences tend to get lost in their creativity, style of preparation or other 21st century Top Chef type excessive effort bringing less than edible food. The Amuse Bouche was good and a nice touch with flavored sour cream on crisped pancetta. So we were somewhat looking forward to the Crudo with cuttlefish and souvied octopus (the cuttlefish was Chewy, octopus was overcooked and grainy), heirloom tomato form with greens (the form was dry and inedible with sand in the greens they were good enough to remove the item from the check), two ways of enjoying steak ( nice coulis with well prepared steak selections at $65) and a desert of caramel layered with tarrow cacao crisps which also was not particularly tasty... The caramel layer was like gum and the mouse was, um.. nevermind, oh and my rabbit stew with bean casserole was served with dry pulled meat that tasted of dried chicken and little other taste. Of course the lobster bisque was nothing more than a small piece of lobster in a tomato based soup in low framed rimmed bowl, some sour cream and frankly no better than what you can get at a Safeway. The drink I ordered was a nice cocktail of vodka, strawberry and lime juice which gave my tongue a reaction from the tartness.Again, the staff was lovely, although our server had a stained vest which made me giggle because if the bit of pretentious attitude he tried to pass off, but this is the problem when diners are ready to pay over $300 without wine and watery cappuccino on top of it all. All to say, if you want to have a beautiful view of the sunset of lake Tahoe, a lovely dining hall, great service and marginal food that is spotty at best and filled with sand at worst, go here. Remember, you are paying for the view, just like st Riva Grill or any riverfront venues. There are far better options a few streets back.

The service was excellent and views were beautiful. However, the food was not very impressive (especially for the price). The meat itself in the entrees was good, but there were hardly any sides and the small portions of sides they did provide were not good. Definitely paying for the view and experience more than the dining itself.

Wow, wow & wow!! Best view, best food and best service. The experience in this restaurant is over the top. I can't wait to be back. The quail salad was the highlight of our dinner experience.

Beautiful view of Lake Tahoe in an intimate setting. The food and service are spectacular. The coffee dessert is out of this world! Great prices on the wine selection as well.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for the last 4 years and always very satisfied, but tonight unfortunately, the food was not to the standards I got used to from previous visits. New Chef? New management?

We have eaten at Edgewood several times in the past. Last year it was so good we thought about it months later. This past week, though, we had a really bad experience and so did the couple next to us. We ordered the duck risotto to start and the rice was severely undercooked. Not even al dente...it was hard. Probably had another ten minutes to go. We sent it back. The next appetizer we had was the scallops. They were only seared on one side and the other side was still raw. I understand that this is a technique, but coming from someone who cooks scallops at home all the time we just couldn't understand why both sides weren't seared. We sent these back and were so grossed out we decided to leave right then and there. Later, we saw the manager talking to a couple near us about their experience. We heard them also talking about the risotto being hard. Earlier, we were wondering why she had been staring at us, but we then realized it was because she was pissed and was watching our reactions to our food and discussions with our (same) waiter! The staff were very nice and these mishaps were not their fault. And perhaps this was an exception and not the norm, but we were really disappointed in our recent experience. What we are left wondering is what happened/changed? Did they have a new chef, kitchen, etc.? We do hope these things are addressed so we may give them another try someday...

7/22/23 Edgewood Restaurant is a definite 5 stars for the food, the service and the view. Zach made a reservation here for 7:45PM to celebrate our engagement earlier that day. The restaurant inside and out is veyy beautiful. There's a valet service which I'm not sure if it's mandatory or not, but Zach handed the valet guy the keys and we proceeded up the staircase inside. There are huge windows and an outdoor space you can walk to enjoy the view. We waited an extra 10 minutes to get a table right by the window, but it was worth the wait since the view was amazing. All of staff here are dressed very professionally and the service was truly outstanding. Aaron was our waiter that evening and he was great. Even the chairs are wonderful because they are so comfy and they support your back and shoulders. Here's what we got: - Bronzed sea scallops (to share) - French onion soup (his) - Lobster chowder (mine) - Veal chops (his) - Halibut (mine) - Fuji apple ginger sour (mine) We went all out since we were celebrating the engagement. The bread and butter they give you was phenomenal and honestly probably the best bread and butter I've ever had. They give you a variety of bread and the butter is so smooth and so creamy. We would go outside to enjoy the view and see the sunset when we were waiting for the food to come. Everything we had tasted amazing. Would definitely return!

Service attentive and filet cooked to perfection. Comparable to Lone Eagle Grill in Incline except....no outdoor seating by fire for nightcap and dessert menu a bit too unique for my taste. Would definitely return but please add chocolate molten cake with berries or something traditional.

The ambiance was excellent. A very beautiful restaurant. My biggest feedback is to get new cocktail glasses (they are like these cones) because they were so awkwardly shaped and are very easy to spill (with one drink).
