The filet with peppercorn was so overly seasoned and the steak was way overcooked. For a very $$$$ steakhouse that was disappointing.

We had a reservation for 8:15pm on Saturday. It was crowded but we were seated immediately. We got a nice booth and were given bread and water quickly. From there the service slowed the rest of the night. The wagyu appetizer was decent but would probably not get it again. It took about 30 mins for our entrees to arrive. I got the Cajun ribeye which was flavored well and cooked the way I like it. The mashed potatoes were crumbly and not flavorful. My kids didn't enjoy the deconstructed beef Wellington but the meat was well cooked. The filet and lobster made a great meal. The chocolate lava cake was a favorite amongst everyone. The ambiance was nice, not too loud and if we came earlier the view would have been lovely. The whole meal took about 2 hrs and 15 minutes. Overall, I might give this restaurant another chance but I wouldn't recommend it to others.

Absolutely not the Sage Room you used to know. I had a terrible case of food poisoning thanks to this place. A local pharmacy told me they had heard this repeatedly from customers. There is a problem here. When I called a few days later I had to go through security (?) to issue my complaint. Seriously. Eat here and risk your vacation. Update: My son ended up here with some friends and guess what...food poisoning! Seriously...this could ruin your week.

I like the old fashioned ambience and especially the food flambéing. The prime rib was a big portion. The elk chop was ok but needed more flavor and especially the veggies. On the other hand the Beef Wellington should not be called by that name, it was a disappointment! It looks and tastes like anything but beef Wellington. It should be wrapped in a puff pastry not topped with a sort kind of biscuit. Actually, the chef should be embarrassed of himself for having this item on his menu and call it beef Wellington. Our server wasn't that attentive.

If you want to see the lake and enjoy your meal this is the spot. The bar next door offers great views as well. I've frequented this location when it was under another name as well and its hard to beat. They've always been consistent in food quality and same with drinks. Great place for a date or a good meal. There's only one other place that can compare to the views.

Service was amazing. Most of the food was excellent. I was disappointed in the quality of the steak they offered in the 80th Anniversary Dinner Special. It's advertised as a Wagu Sirloin but was not Wagu quality. The rest of the meal was delicious. It's a bit overpriced but it's Tahoe.

How the mighty have fallen. Once upon a time, this was it in Tahoe. Nothing special now. Hope you won in the casino. You will need it for this place and it's small portions. Sides used to be sharable, at $12.95 you need your own. Can't risk dessert and the possibility of it being dinky.

Beautiful room, beautiful ambiance, and such a beautiful view! Came here on a Saturday night, had made a reservation for 5 pm. Got seated right away at a beautiful window table with the most stunning lake view at sunset. Our waiter Teddy was fantastic from the get go. Very nice, accommodating, great service. The food was divine. We had the escargot, oysters, wedge salad, duck, and sirloin - all were fantastic. And our bottle of wine was superb. One of the best dining experiences we've ever had. Highly recommend!

Book online and got confirmation email and text messages. Showed up and they turn us down. We had a big group. They need to see how the business is operated online. Call and tried to book another reservation, rude customer service. Hanged up on me.

My husband and myself were here at Lake Tahoe NV-Harrahs and decided to dine at Sage Room. It was super busy I guess when I arrived as originally I was going to order Togo but decided to eat at the bar. We shared the Cajun Steak and ordered a side each as no sides come with the entree. It’s rather expensive but it was my husband birthday so whatever. I ordered the steak medium well but it looked/taste more medium. I didn’t want to send it back, so I dealt with it. My side was the Parmesan wedges and they were really good. My husband got a loaded baked potato. He loved it. We drink water. Please see the bill attached. I still would come again. Just get the steak well done next time. Service was okay given they were busy.

Great food and drinks. Not sure why their reviews are not better. My husband and I (plus 2 young kids) had the table side porter house, and it was amazing! We also added a side of creamed spinach and a lobster bisque, both equally delicious. The food was plenty, enough for all of us. Also, the view is unbelievable. I highly recommend this spot! Make sure you make a reservation ahead of time, they get booked pretty quickly.

I was dining alone, and arrived early for my 8:15 reservation. I was seated at an isolated table with a gorgeous view (though at night the reflections made it difficult to see outside). I then sat as I looked at the menu, decided, turned the wobbly table and continued to sit as many servers walked by. After about 10 minutes, I went to the host to see if I could be seated in a place where I would get service. I was moved to another table, also with a great view. My server was very pleasant but not as attentive as I would have liked. I ordered shrimp cocktail, smoked duck, roasted cauliflower and eventually had a dessert of banana cream cookie thing. The shrimp cocktail was fine. The duck was absolutely incredible; maybe one of the best things I've had in a long time and that includes duck from Rivea in Vegas. The cauliflower was well prepared, but for $15 I got 6 small florets and its way overpriced. The banana dessert was very strange but amazingly good. Overall if the service was better and the cauliflower was priced accordingly (either more for $15 or lower the price) this would be a top 5 anywhere for me.

7pm reservations sat right away, Took almost 3 hours for dinner - No appetizers - Just Salad and 3 Steaks - 2 bottles of wines I tried to purchase they did not have - Then vodka drink wrong - bread came before water - Bone in Rib Eye cooked Med-Rare temp was right but steak looked almost boiled brown - side dishes very underwhelming - very disappointing and service was sub-pare

Food is always stellar. Last night service was not up to par. Our cocktails arrived with our first course after 20 minutes waiting for drinks. This was due to under staffing not the waiters fault.

A very lackluster experience. Tableside Caesar was not special the way it used to be. The romaine was wilted instead of crispy cold. The tableside steak Diane had a chemical taste and not good. Luckily the young adult kids enjoyed their meal as it was my son's birthday celebration. He had the elk chop and his girlfriend the veal chop. No mention of my son's birthday. The bill was dropped abruptly. It wasn't a good experience. There are so many better places to go.
