Had a great stay here a couple a weeks ago for a relative's 100-year birthday. I can't say thanks enough for opening the restaurant to provide for dinner outside hours when the downtown was shutdown for snow conditions. I stayed in The Bullion, across the street. While hoping to see ghosts :), I was, instead, left with rooms that were clean, warm, and that would lead me to stay again if visiting Virginia City. Additionally, restaurant food was delicious. Thank you!

What a great piece of Nevada history! We really enjoyed the spooky stories and delicious drinks at the Story and Spirits event. Great food, creative theme drinks, and a really nice crowd of people many in costume. I hope they do this event again. Much fun.

Stayed here for a few nights last week. The beds are really comfortable. I was in the old section of the hotel ("Rosie's room") with antiques and a four poster bed. The cast iron tub was heaven! I went on the ghost tour and had dinner at the Crown Point restaurant on Thursday. The food was excellent! And the ghost tour was really cool - we talked to the ghosts! Extra bonus, the hotel cat "Cloudy" joined us on the tour and even came to visit me in my hotel room right before I left on Friday.

Love this quaint but upscale hotel & restaurant. The food is excellent, the menu is smallish but has all the main steak, fish and chicken covered. The tri-tip was awesome. Definitely worth visiting this hidden gem!Nearby activities: 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive to Virginia City.Safety: Quiet, out-of-the-way locationFood & drinks: The restaurant and bar onsite are awesome! It's a legitimate 4 star restaurant that stands on its own.

We have been going here for around 26 years. The ghosts mean a lot to us. We stayed in Rose's room on our honeymoon. The bar is fun too, and we have enjoyed the ghost tours.

Food is wonderful. Tri tip flavorful, vegetables with balsamic reduction wonderful touch. Mashed potatoes just enough to add to the meal. Highly recommend for special occasions and out of town guests. Service was very attentive, plus plus on service. Comfortable service but not rushed. Ambience comfortable and inviting.

Enjoyed an evening in the bar, with food, great guests, great bartender!Room was fantastic, balcony, fireplace (unusable, but ok;it was summer). Train stops above property, great ambience at appropriate hours. Bed comfortable, mini fridge provided, large bathroom. Very comfortable stay.

Great old hotel and restaurant in Gold Hill just before Virginia City. Amazing bar and great food. The rooms are old school classic. Great for a romantic getaway.

This hotel is very good, it looks great, is clean and has friendly staff. The lady on the reception desk was so helpful in helping us move to a room where there was no foot end on a bed ( as my husband is very tall) she also spent lots of time and helped me plan our route to Calveras to see some red wood, all this and I forgot to leave a tip! We also had to ask go off menu in the restaurant and they did their best to accommodate. Great stay. Lovely looking hotel. Would recommend.

We were staying in the Gold Hill Hotel so decided to have dinner here in this restaurant which is co-located. When we first walked it seemed to be a little confusing since this restaurant halls 3 different areas (bar area, dining area adjacent to bar and a more formal dining area). We entered through the informal area from the hotel stair entrance, and stood around a bit before we asked if we seat ourselves or need to be seated. We were told we could pick which ever area were wanted so we proceeded to the more formal dining area. The servers seemed to be a bit thrown off when we stated we didn't have reservations. At this time the restaurant only has about 3 partied seated, but the restaurant did get busier as time went on. We were seated near the southwest corner near the wall at table 3 which didn't have any view out the large windows. Most of the other tables seemed to be positioned better with ours being the exception. Menu selection was good. We tried the Shrimp Scampi and Ghost Burger. The scampi was good and shrimp plentiful, however we noticed that the pasta was supposed to be angel hair but instead it was a mix of angel hair and spagetti. Made us wonder if the ran out of angel hair and started using spagetti. If this is the case they should of just used spagetti and informed us when ordering they didn't have the angel hair so we could decide if we rather have something else instead like the Lobster Ravioli. The Ghost Buger was good sized and cooked well, but probably could of used a bit more of the Ghost Sause (jam) on it. Side salad with blue cheese was good. Our Cream Burlee was not the best we have ever had since the camelized sugar crust on top was overcooked, too thick and hard, however the custard part was very good. Service was decent but not as attentive as I would of expected. Food took alittle while to come out and it would be nice if they served some bread or rolls while you were waiting. Overall the price was alittle high for the quality of the overall dining experience and food.
