I give this place a single star, due to the fact that google hasn’t been updated. They have been closed for a while now talking to locals. Which is upsetting because they were such an amazing place to grab breakfast. They had the best food, my wife and I specifically stayed in Virginia City for their breakfast for every morning. They need to update their google page and website, because as of how we see it it’s supposed to be open .

We only had a beer and a really mean Bloody Mary here, but we sat and enjoyed our drinks while great country hall dance music played and people of all ages wandered in. The authenticity of the Saloon is charming, and we loved the view to the east from the back!Kid-friendliness: Our toddler was both welcome and had a great time with the music.

We visited this place back in 2019 and had a really good experience. This time around though was an entirely different outcome. The restaurant was not terribly busy when we came in around 1PM. Only two inside tables were occupied but our party of four was crammed into a small table in the corner that had us literally bumping chairs into the diners next to us. Service was slow and lackluster. After taking our order, we waited twenty minutes to receive our food. At no point did anyone come over to speak with us about the status of our order. There was plenty of time though for the staff to go outside and smoke and check their phones. They were even out of hamburgers, really? Once we received our food, no apologies again given for the delay, the order had mistakes, and the food was mediocre. The charm and uniqueness this establishment once had was completely absent during this visit. And after we received our order, there was no further follow up except to drop off the check. A real disappointment to say the least, and their prices are in the moderate to higher end compared to other establishments in Virginia City. As a former restaurant manager and career hospitality person, I understand you can be off on certain days. This was such a miss though, that there is no way we would ever go back. Too bad.

Beautiful little place with great food and a lovely atmosphere. If you go on Sunday, go in the early afternoon and catch some of the local talent that plays there.

I hate to say it but the ladies bathroom was out of order and the sign said use the men's bathroom. Not good.

This is an interesting place to eat or drink with great views down the mountain valley. Air gets heavy down stairs so avoid the bathrooms if you're sensitive, and I don't mean to odors haha!

Went to see onae, the medium there. Good drinks friendly service. Offered nice snacks. They have been great during all the crawls and Halloween too! They are offering ghost hunting now also.
