Fantastic place. We have been trying to get up there for a couple of years. Either our timing was off or they were closed. Loved the ambiance and the service. If you are looking for something other than burgers, etc. this is the place.

I have to say this place is a gem and is one of these places that you want to tell everyone about and at the same time tell no one to enjoy it for yourself. Been coming to Virginia City for years and just recently got to eat at this place. Currently it is tucked away above the main street. Of course the building itself and its surrounding are part of Virginia City's history. The staff were super nice and definitely felt like it was family operated. The food was excellent, so please let them take the time they need to make it. Definitely coming back to The si Factory.

We had a very nice breakfast this morning, before going to the St. Patrick's Day parade in Virginia City. The food was great and the service was great as well. We found out that the restaurant will be relocating to another location in VC. While we love the old building they are currently in, we're excited to see their new digs in a few weeks.

The food & service were both excellent!! The restaurant was charming & happily accommodated us without a reservation. (It was a quiet, winter weekend though...reservations would be a good idea.) They didn't have a kids menu, but were more than happy to adapt something on the menu and also said they could make something simple for our kiddos. My kids actually ended up ordering from their standard menu & loved the food. (I felt like this was a significant victory ) We had a cheeseburger, calamari sandwich, shrimp scampi, & salmon piccata....all wonderful!

Horrible customer service, I took my fiance to Virginia City to show her the ghost tour and we tried walking in to the cider factory and the employee working in the receiving area was rude so we left. Definitely will never even consider this as an option in VC It was November 25 & it's funny that you would take that stance. Your employees lack of customer service definitely shows based on your response.

I got crispy chicken piccata with lemon sauce & capers over linguine & loved it. Everyone else got burgers: cheese burger, Philly etc. We all enjoyed our meals and price was decent. Came with sides, soup, salad & fries with the burgers. Server was very nice, offered variations on burgers for kids. And the restaurant is mostly housed in a large room that was a building build approximately 1860s but moved to current location. Nice outside area in better weather.

I proposed to my husband in Virginia City; it holds a very special place in our hearts, but food has never been what we love it for. When this spot popped up as being so highly recommended, we were excited to try. My husband and I frequently talk about how Yelp ratings need to be taken with context; this is the highest reviewed spot in Virginia City with a 4.8 currently, but it wouldn't stand next to a 4.8 in a metro area (nor would it want to!!), which would represent more of a "perfect" meal... this is not going to be the best food of your life, but it is a cute and cozy dine in experience in a town that has been seriously lacking of such a thing.... Negative Yelpers, please take note of the context. The ambiance is so cozy, and felt like a casual dinner at family's house. Whoever decorated has a great eye for decor and visual balance, and took great time with little details that I loved to experience as a decor junkie myself :) Our server (so sorry I forgot his name!) was arguably the best server I have ever experienced. He was friendly, attentive, energetic, and juggled the entire house by himself with great ease. He made it feel like we were a guest in his home. Very sweet. We both ordered the special (steak with shrimp scampi), and got sides of Caesar salad. My husband ordered the roasted garlic + bread to start-- I was a bit disappointed by it, but that's because I wanted the garlic bread that everyone else ordered (which looked amazing). The salad was very over dressed to the point of liquified- No worries, we had more than enough food coming. The steaks for both of us was excellent- they air on the light side, so order wellness on a more conservative side. My husband ordered a side of the soup of the day; Turkey and lentil. It was delicious (and I don't like lentil soup!). The shrimp scampi was unconventional, served with red bell peppers and lacked the typical buttery, garlic sauce. Not how I personally prefer, but it was a fun experience to try. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. I liked that they left the shell on, which brings more flavor.

Great place. Food was like grandma used to make. Everything was spot on. The waiter was running his butt off but was a great communicator. Chicken fried steak and eggs and Breakfast sandwich are must try’s. Coffee was very good too. Prices are very reasonable.
