My friends and family used to stop by at this restaurant during our ski trips up North over the years and the Dreuther’s Mac and Cheese was a staple of our journey. It’s been an absolute shame to see what’s become of this once great food spot. My foreign friend once said Dreuther’s was the “Best American Food” he’s ever had and now it’s a restaurant whose food is no better than what you’d get at an Applebees or Chili’s. It is a serious fall from grace. If it’s your first time going and you need a quick bite, Dreuther’s will do the job but this review isn’t for you. It’s for the people who once seriously loved this place and haven’t been back in a while. And it’s for management who’s usually behind these kinds of business changes where they don’t pay their chefs enough so they leave, they cut costs on ingredients, and drop items off the menu (The pizzas are all gone!).We used to stop in Albany just for Dreuther’s cause there was no reason to go anywhere else. The only benefit from this change is that now we can try other restaurants in the area.

This used to be a place I frequented often. I like their home crafted beers Seeing Red is a favorite. Three stars because they removed a choice called Monkey Bread. Monkey bread was replaced by some flatbread pizza like choice which this consumer finds ordinary. Everybody has pizza nobody had Monkey Bread except Druthers. Hoping management restores this consumer favorite quickly so I and friends will visit more often.

Great food with big portions. Great beers on tap and a cool environment. Multiple locations with same quality throughout.

Our waitress was really amazing. Bummed that I didn't get her name to shout her out. Came here with a party of 11 and was seated immediately. The monkey bread was my favorite. The wings were decent. Food portion sizes were HUGE. Lively crowd but not too noisey. Enjoyed my time

Chill Atmosphere. Food is great everytime. I got the buffalo Mac and cheese. Delicious, hot and plentiful. I couldn't eat it all. Taking the other half home for dinner.

All in all, a 5 star experience. We made a reservation (a week or two prior) and still waited about a half hour to be seated however, we were in town for a comedy show and the restaurant was absolutely packed. The waitress said they weren’t expecting the crowd at all. 5 starts given because with that being said, the food was still awesome and the server was so sweet! We had boneless wings and mac and cheese which were both good. The building is industrial style and very tastefully set up. Wouldn’t hesitate to stop back .

I swung by Druthers hoping for a good old beer and burger combo, and they did deliver on that front. Though I wouldn't say they were the absolute best I've ever had, they definitely hit the spot. To truly get a feel for Druthers' unique strengths, I reckon it's worth venturing beyond the classic burger. My hunch is that their Mac and Cheese might be something special, given the mouthwatering sight of it coming out of the kitchen. All in all, Druthers is a cozy little burger joint that's perfect for a family outing. I'm excited to return and explore more of their menu to uncover their hidden gems.

I used to frequent Druthers a lot the first several years they were open. Great food, great beer, and great atmosphere. But I'm a little disappointed in it now. We went in last night for the first time in a long time and I was surprised at how thin the menu was in places. There was literally only one beef burger available. The other burger was a veggie burger. And they seemed to have done away with pizza all together, replaced with flatbreads, which just isn't pizza. I'm sorry, but this is NY. Flatbreads are not pizza. It's a real shame because their margarita pizza was a favorite of mine. I ended up ordering the lone burger on the menu, which I wasn't impressed with, nor was I impressed with the fries. They used to be thinner, crispier, and tasted freshly cut. The fries I got last night tasted very generic. Like ones you would get at a little league concession stand. Bland. Nothing special about them at all. The burger was just okay. It tasted a little greasy. And why are beers being served in short, wide glasses now? What happened to serving them in proper beer glasses? I found this odd. Not really negative, I guess. Just odd. The table we were seated at, right next to the side exit and under the wooden American flag, was unfinished and sticky from years of wiping it with a dirty rag. Knowing I'd likely be touching my food, I didn't touch the table. I didn't even put my phone down on it. I sat with my hands on my lap the whole time. What happened to this place? It used to be so much better. They seemed to have lost some of their pride over the last couple years and it certainly shows in person and in other reviews as of late. Overall I was disappointed in the thinner menu and the lackluster food. The service was fine though.

I'm not to keen on dining out and prefer to prepare my meals at home. I have never been to Druthers brewing Co., and since the restaurant that I had intended on trying wasn't opened for lunch I decided to try druthers for lunch. The customer service is great and the food choices were their famous Mac and cheese along with wings. The wing were delicious so I decided to order more to take home for dinner. What a mistake that was. The wings weren't as done as they should've been. So disappointing. The Mac and cheese is like broken pieces of some sort of pasta loaded with shredded chicken. I wasn't a fan of that either. Things like that really deter me from eating there again. I dropped $100.00 for lunch there for two which was no problem, but coming from a food and restaurant critic, never again.

I hadn't been to Druthers in quite awhile since they had switched out their veggie burger to a commercial meat substitute burger. I went for the super craveable pretzels which were still as good as I've ever had but significantly more expensive. I was happy to see a housemade veggie burger back on the menu. It was pretty good, but not as good as the original. Was disappointed to see they switched out those delicious super thin shoestring fries. I will always go back for those pretzels and the beer. It would be nice to have a couple more creative vegetarian choices on the menu.
