This place is soooo good. Everything is fresh and well made! Well, at least the street tacos... They've been so delicious I get them every time. I wish we'd found this place while they were still in Guilderland, but they're well worth the trip to Latham.

Got takeout for my Wife’s Birthday today. Worst experience. They missed 2 kids meals entirely, got home to find missing. My wife’s meal was not warm and the street tacos were all mixed together and not separated, devoid of flavor and dry. Don’t waste your money, many of better options.

Disappointing. Bland, tasteless food, without a hint of actual Mexican flavors. For the education of their kitchen staff, enchiladas are made with corn, not flour, tortillas. If you make them with flour tortillas, they're burritos, whether you drown them in so called "enchilada sauce" or not. And the "enchilada sauce" is supposed to be flavorful - my mother used to make better enchiladas by opening a can of enchilada sauce from a grocery shelf. I won't be eating here again.

At least once a week my family and I want to support one of our local restaurants and we have been successful doing this during this difficult pandemic. I had a major craving for authentic Mexican food and checked reviews on yelp to help with my decision. El Charro made the cut and I ordered just for my husband and my self, kids wanted pizza per usual. The husband request steak, chicken and shrimp fajita it came with Mexican rice, beans and avocado salad he loved his food and it said it was really flavorful. Now for me....I ordered the shrimp and scallops this came with Mexican rice and a salad. I wasn't a fan of this plate is was very watery and the texture of scallops were pretty tough so this is where the three stars resulted in. I'm a huge seafood fan like huge that I haven't eaten meat in three years well for other reason too. So I was really sad after eating this but the good thing is there's always another time. The prices of the meals were decent I actually would try this place again. I would say for someone who is a Pescatarian they have many options and this is nice to see. Sooooo til next time I look forward to having a better experience.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING we ordered chips and salsa with cheese enchiladas which was all outstanding. We also got the queso dip which was amazingly creamy and so good (way better than chipotle). The salsa is also super fresh and flavorful! All reasonably price and comes with great service!!

Beyond disappointed with this place. This used to be our favorite place to come something for both my husband and myself as well as our young son. Service is always wonderful. Since everything closed we are trying to support local places that we like to visit. This is the 3rd time getting take out and each time has been worst than the last and this last time I just canceled our order. We called to place an order. It's my birthday all I wanted was Mexican food and a margarita. Called at 5 they told us before we ordered that it wouldn't be ready til 645. Ok we can deal with that. We got here at exactly 645. Line around the building so we called and asked if our food was ready. They said no. I asked how much longer she said another 20 minutes. So basically you are telling me you haven't even started my order. Hell no I'm out cancel that order. We will not ever get take out again and honestly I'm not sure if I will come back once everything opens again. Has just put a sour taste in my mouth.

Dine-in service has always been great! I appreciate the number of vegetarian options. To go service hasn't been the best. Presentation was poor, but personally I don't mind when it still tastes great. I highly recommend calling rather than using their app or website. I used the app and was disappointed by the extra hour I waited in the restaurant past the pick up time I was told. To be fair, they seemed very busy and that they haven't quite mastered online ordering and to go. I'm sure they'll only get better

You can never go wrong with the menu or service!!! While in covid hell we get to go from here at least every other week and They do drinks to go!!! The enchiladas with mole and fajitas are amazing! I wish I had pictures. Please try their amazing food to go and when they can have guests you won't be disappointed with the service either!

I enjoyed some components of the food. I specifically asked for no beans on anything and they put beans on everything and on the side. Besides this mistake, I definitely think there are better Mexican cuisine locations in Albany. I do think the portions for the price are very reasonable and maybe others will find the dishes better suited to their taste and hopefully, more accurate than I received based on a simple request.

I'm a fan of traditional Mexican food while my wife likes Tex Mex. We found that El Charro does both quite well. I'll stick to the street tacos, which are excellent. My wife gets the rest of the menu. The service is excellent, however I do recommended going through all the items before leaving the premises. Apparently Uber Eats can be a bit glitchy, and you may not get what you ordered. It's always nice to see the business prioritize customer satisfaction, so I'll happily order from here again.
Great place. Great prices. The tortillas and salsa you get as soon as you sit down are phenomenal. I haven't ordered a single thing and been disappointed. Service is excellent. Appears to be family owned. They are still open for takeout during the lockdown too! (518) 313-7505

We have been to the Latham restaurant and we thought that location was great but, this one exceeded the Latham restaurant. Excellent, friendly and fast service the restaurant is much bigger and much nicer than the restaurant in Latham. The food was exceptional! I totally agree with a previous reviewer that there is absolutely nothing I can say that is negative about this restaurant. Excellent!
