“My boyfriend treated me to Yono's for Valentine's Day, and Yono's was probably one of the best culinary experiences I've ever had! We had their special Valentine's menu, which offered a 6-course tasting menu, and we decided to go with the wine pairings, which was an excellent choice. It was my first time experiencing the beauty of wine pairings, and I was amazed at how elegantly the wine enhanced each course - their selections of wines were *chefs kiss* The complexity, flavor, and intricacy of each dish were phenomenal. The 6-course meal featured chilled creek oysters, butter poached scallops, root vegetable potage, foie gras, filet mignon, and dark chocolate gateau--each dish was a masterpiece and so beautifully presented. My personal favorite was the foie gras. While Yono's is definitely on the pricey side, it's perfect for your fancy shmancy occasions. I'm looking forward to returning to explore their regular menu! “We stumbled upon Wellington’s by accident for lunch while waiting to tour the Capital Building. It’s located conveniently right across the street. What a find! The building is gorgeous, the furniture fabulous, the service exceptional and the food delicious. Our waiter was wonderful and took excellent care of us. We had the lobster grilled cheese, which was incredible, brussel sprouts, fries & chips. Highly recommend the grilled cheese! We will definitely come back to this place again for dinner.“
“Lovely traditional Tuscan restaurant. Great service. Beautiful menu, all pastas are home made. Sauces little too heavy for my taste, but that's a matter of preference. I had the daily special sea bass, there are few things as satisfying as a perfectly-cooked, flaky filet of fish! Very attentive service. Decor is dated and room is dark. But then again more matter of preference.“
