I love their food...but can never get thru on phone or any delivery service. I would love to support local but how can you when you can't. They need to change why advertise for grub hub and seamless or any other delivery service if you don't use them.

Food was good and the ladies at the front counter were very nice. I was in Albany for the day and couldn’t make my mind up on a good diner if you’re in the area check it out.

Wife and I stopped by Jack's II before our appointment for Covid Vaccine at the Armory, with the name Jack's and green awning was expecting an Irish type place. It was near 2pm so place was empty save one person waiting on their takeout. Wife ordered the BLT and I got the 2 Chilidogs with Fries and we were both happy with our orders. Her blt was constructed well with crispy bacon, fresh tomato and lettuce, fries were fresh and hot and the small serving of coleslaw was also very good even though she's not a fan of slaw. My 2 chilidogs also came with fries and slaw, and although could've been a bit hotter temp wise, were very good and had plenty of chili on them. We have a 2nd appt in 3 weeks for our second shot and most likely will be hitting Jack's back up, wife was eyeballing the breakfast burrito and the young lady told us breakfast is served all day - always a winner imo. If you're near the Armory or just nearby on Washington Ave, highly recommend Jack's II.

I have absolutely nothing good to say about this establishment. The delivery time for my order was changed without notification. It went from 10:20 am -10:30 am to 10:55 am - 11:05 am, making it a 50-60 minute wait instead of a 30-35 minute wait. I called the restaurant to ask about the change and was told that my food had already been sitting there ready and waiting for pickup and they had absolutely no control over the driver. I asked the woman who answered if that meant that my food could just be sitting there until the ever decided to show up and deliver it whenever he felt and she responded that they had no control over what the driver did. She told me to contact GrubHub. When the food arrived the waffle was cold and soggy, the potatoes were not home fries they were some poor attempt at hash browns, the grits were cold, thick lumpy, and slightly sour. To top it all off, they did not make the BLT. In my note I asked for no mayo and no white bread. The person on the phone told me that the chef did not know how to make a sandwich without bread so they didn't make the sandwich at all and refunded me for the item. However, my note clearly asked for no "white" bread. I never said I didn't want the sandwich on any bread at all. Instead of calling the customer for clarification they just decided not to make the sandwich, not to mention it to me, and figured refunding the item should be good enough. While I appreciate not being charged for it, I would have liked to know that I was not getting it to begin with oh, but I would really have liked for them to just called me and asked me. Instead, they misread and misunderstood my notes and did what they felt like doing. Once again the staff member was very rude and defensive. She again stated the food being cold was not their fault because they have no control over the driver. She argued that my note said I did not want any bread when you can clearly read in black and white that my note says no white bread oh, didn't she hung up on me. If you prefer having your order arrive on time, unspoiled, tasty, appetizing looking, and correct this is not the restaurant you should be ordering from. If you prefer good customer service, do not order from this restaurant. Considering the hospitality industry is feeling at the moment due to the pandemic you would think they would treat their customers with more respect and consideration. This is one restaurant I would not be sad to see close.

Quaint, small, traditional diner right in walking distance of the Capital buildings. Had a french toast and bacon meal. Very tasty. It was the weekend so there was no wait time. I imagine during the week it can get pretty busy with all the government employees. I really liked it. Definitely recommend.
