Quiet cozy atmosphere. Nice wine list, excellent food. Non intrusive service. We have been to this restaurant several times and have not had a bad experience.

My husband and I just celebrated our Anniversary dinner at La Serre, which I won for Valentine’s Day. It was our first time, and it did not disappoint. The house wine selection was very good, I had a delicious Dry Rose, and my husband had the House Merlot also very good. The fresh warm bread to start w/garlic infused olive oil was great. Followed by the Duck egg rolls w/chipotle aioli (the suce was what really gave the flavor here), then a nice lite Spring mix salad that was

Being hungry and from out of town for an event on a super cold evening in Albany, LaSerre was so welcoming and hospitable. We can’t say enough about how friendly and warm the staff were and how amazing the food was!!! Not to mention that this restaurant is simply just adorable and charming. Super cozy and comforting. Thank you so much LaSerre for welcoming us in!!!

LaSerre never disappoints! Our server, John, was knowledgeable, courteous and attentive without being obtrusive and the food is always phenomenal from appetizer through dessert! We will continue to return. If you have never been there, treat yourself; you will NOT be disappointed!

I have been visiting La Serre for 15 years, whenever I am back in Albany, and it is always an excellent experience in all respects; great traditional French cuisine in a really unique environment. I would rank it right up there with my other go to place for superb traditional French dining—D.C.’s La Chaumiere. No surprise that Washington would have a top notch French restaurant, but I’m so pleased to see that Albany too can boast that at a time when some of the other great restaurants of years past have gone away. Long may it last!

Food is really not fresh, made my stomach sick after coming home. I told the server the food isn’t fresh and he told me back “no other people said anything”. The food is also overpriced and really not worthy your money.

I had purchased a Groupon & wanted to use it Tonite before attending a show at the Egg. When I called to make a reservation for tonite at 6:30 I was told that they had a big party come in & couldn't accommodate us. I can't understand why u can't accommodate a party of 2 people at the same time. I asked if we could sit at the bar & have dinner & was told they do not honor Groupon at the bar. On my Groupon I do not see that stipulation at all. What's up w/this situation?

How is this place still in business? Went at 5:00 on a Saturday night. We were the only people there. I ordered the lobster ravioli for $35. When it arrived at the table it was plated with 5 ravioli. My partner ordered the penne Mitchell, also for $35. When her dish arrived it was also quite modest. We finally were given some bread, after our entrees came, and even the bread portion, 3 pieces, was incredible small. Needless to say, we were still hungry after completing our meals. Before ordering we informed our server we had a Groupon. He grunted and walked away to get our wine. At the end of the meal we received our check with an additional twenty percent gratuity tacked on. Ok I guess...maybe we seemed like less than credible diners...? I always tip that much anyway, but the presumption was tacky. We left feeing as though we had a mediocre dining experience and agreed to never come back. Jack's Oyster house, right around the corner, is a much better experience. We've reached out to Groupon to inquire about the portion size, rudeness, and gratuity. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

The service was amazing and the bartender was quick to greet and seat me. The menu was not as french as I thought it would be. They did have escargot, pate, duck a l'orange, and beef bourguignon. I had the beef bourguignon, it was good, not fancy and it was a huge portion. I had a glass of the malbec which at first taste was unnoticeable as a malbec. There were only 2 french reds by the glass which surprised me.
