I was looking for breakfast near my hotel, and this popped up. Not sure what the hype was about. Saw a 4.5 star on here and thought I found a gem, turns out it's probably all friends of the owner... Started out with me walking in, seeing the waitress MEC holding up one finger and saying "one please"....she said "one what?" With an annoyed look. "A table for one please"....nothing...."ok, so I just seat myself then?" Sat myself, grabbed my own menu off the counter (as she was busy talking to some other patron about conspiracy theories and politics. Got pancakes and bacon, the food was fine. Not great, not bad. Price was reasonable. Service was fast. Ambiance was 1987 renovation and have withheld putting money into since. Waitress was negative about everything. "This country is going to hell, giving money to immigrants, blah blah, did you see the super bowl, trash, all of it trash". Everything she said was negative and a downer. Went in feeling happy left feeling annoyed. Cash only. Had to go through a metal detector and security to get there, not worth the hassle.

The sign at the street says open daily, but they apparently aren't open at all on the weekend.

This diner is so charming, the food is great with very fair prices. I loitered before heading out while drinking coffee and felt no pressure to leave. The only weird thing is it's in a city building so may be a little hard to find but overall great and I will be back next time I'm in town.

I give 3 stars not because it's bad appearance but because to get 5 stars much more services requested by shoppers from consumers to get BBB satisfaction guaranteed. Thank you. Great job.

This place is a hidden jem! Its located in the Albany county office building. I eat heren2 or 3 times a week and everytime I go the food just gets better and batter.... The prices are fair the service is awesome and the family atmosphere is one of a kind. This is a 6 star cafe

Great service! Fast! My breakfast sandwich was perfect and not too heavy. So reasonably priced. Coffee was hot and fresh.

Best breakfast ever. Their home fries are delicious and their eggs are always perfectly cooked, I've never once had a bad experience. The staff is incredibly nice and always know it's me ordering, and will have my usual condiments ready for me to use when I go to pick up my food. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants great breakfast food at a great price!!!

I've got to say- the folks at PG's KNOW how to make a good lunch at a GREAT price. What's more is their customer service. Everyone is incredibly chipper and happy to be doing what they are doing. I could eat lunch here everyday if my hips could handle it. I tend to go the classic BLT or Tuna Melt route. Obviously, anything fried they have down to an art. All sandwiches come with a lovely slaw and giant pickle. So do yourself a favor State Workers, leave your measly PB & Js at home and treat yourself to some PG love. You won't regret it!

Friendly service and decent food, but as the other reviews have said, it's really a diner rather than a deli. The place is owned by a Greek family, and although this is reflected in the decor and a few of the menu items, it's largely American fare. Breakfast is super cheap and tasty. They have decent sandwiches and burgers with pretty reasonable prices. The soups are also good but are a bit high in sodium for me. Love the seasoned curly fries. They have daily lunch specials for about $7.50, including the fish fry with homemade macaroni and cheese on Fridays. Although the quality of the mac & cheese isn't always consistent, it's a popular item that they always seem to sell out of quickly. The restaurant fills up at lunch time and they are closed by around 2:30/ 3 o'clock daily. 112 is a safe bet if you're looking for a simple and straight forward breakfast or lunch.

If you want a good lunch at a reasonable price in downtown Albany, 112 Deli is your spot. The ambiance is homey, like your favorite dinner, and most importantly the food is consistently good. And they always have rice pudding which is a unique feature and a nice treat. In order to accommodate all of the county and state workers on their lunch breaks, the service is quick and efficient. I've been there many times for breakfast and lunch and I've never had a bad meal. This place is a go-to spot if you work downtown.

112 deli is on the ground floor of the county office building. you walk past the elevators and the barber shop to get there. it's really more of a diner than a deli. they have sandwiches, burgers, chicken tenders, salads, some greek items, and more. my favs here are spanikopita, chicken tenders, and grilled cheese sandwiches. the regular fries aren't great, so i like to substitute for the mac salad or curly fries (if they are on the special board). if you work in this part of downtown, 112 is a good place for a reasonably priced sit down lunch. in my experience the food is always served quickly. they also have take out, and breakfast, but i've never had either.
