miss the coffee club from many years ago. it was amazing and educational at first, then another person within the coffee club got on a "power trip, and ruined the entire thing". when the coffee club first started it was an amazing way to have a bite to eat, gather with friends, learn about different coffee's and roasts... once the other person took over, it was Mandatory to reserve a spot, and then this individual raised the cost to almost double the cost, with a very limited menu, which this individual revamped the menu to suit their needs ... I get it , there are food allergies, and may be vegetarian or gluten free foods.. their was no longer any input from anyone else in the coffee club... and then the portions and coffee and teas were limited.... I was extremely disappointed.... it only one individual to ruin a great night out with friends

As a resident of the PNW, I am a bit apprehensive about finding truly good coffee on the east coast(no, Dunkin and Starbucks are not good coffee). Professor Chavez coffee sanctuary delivered the goods. Fast. Fresh. Delicious. Would definitely come here again!

Always the greatest coffee and baked goods. The only problem is the staff are the most cold and attitude filled staff anywhere. If you can't be nice and enjoy your job, please find another line of work. Went in and they messed up my coffee and the Oreo cake was amazing, but fix it don't argue. Second try on coffee was excellent, why let the service ruin the experience.

Great specialty lattes, tasty fresh food and relaxed atmosphere. Better than Starbucks for sure.

Great atmosphere and staff. The coffee served in great mugs for drinking in. Unfortunately no vegan muffin options as in the past. Sad.

I wish I lived closer. I had a breakfast croissant sandwich and a latte that was amazing. The bakery items looked just as good. Staff is great and there is a very cozy atmosphere here.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but I was really disappointed. I visited today for the first time. While they promote all day breakfast, the woman working told us that they weren’t serving anymore hot food for the day. Mind you, it was only noon.I picked a table, I noticed some water on it, so I wiped it off. As I sat down, I realized it wasn’t just the table that was wet, but also the chair. There was water leaking from the exposed pipes in the ceiling.Disappointed to say the very least

I had an amazing Pisces blend cappuccino and sticking with the Pisces theme, lol, a tuna sandwich on rye followed by delicious homemade cookies (just like mom used t make, seriously:) I often overlook PJ's since its in a strip mall and set back from the road but not anymore!

Huge selection, all prepared well. This is also where I get my quality whole bean coffee by the pound.

If you like your coffee as cold and bitter as your service, try Javas!!!Place is awful. Coffee is always cold (unless it's iced), food order has been wrong just about every time I have eaten there. Awful music BLASTING throughout the place and the staff.......miserable and rude.Go to Stacks instead

Giving it 3 stars because the coffee was decent enough, but boy oh boy was the service bad. We waited 20 minutes on a busy Saturday and still no sign of our coffee. So I went up to the cashier to inquire, and said "If they haven't made mine yet, can I change it to a Heath Bar latte?" At which point she threw an absolute temper tantrum, slamming her fists on the counter and yelling something about "if one more customer changes their order..." The other people in the line and I looked at each other, stunned. The male barista came to the register to try and calm things down. He said to my friend, "Didn't I hear you order a latte about 15 minutes ago?" She was like "Um, yeah?" And he said he would make our drinks right away, which he did. A few minutes later he tried to lecture me about having empathy for my local barista. I told him I see how busy they are and trust me, I've been patronizing cafes for at least 30 years and I have plenty of empathy for all my local baristas! But - and I said this in front of the young lady - if she can't deal with stress, she doesn't belong in the public-facing service industry. All in all not a great experience but again the coffee is pretty good and the ambiance is decent inside. Too bad they moved from the cute old house to a totally sterile strip mall, but when you get inside I feel like they kept true to the Java vibe.

Went here to grab a latte and a breakfast croissant. For a reheated breakfast, it wasn't bad honestly. The girl was pretty generous with the portions of espresso in my latte. I had my food there so I had a real plate and silverware. When I grabbed the silverware from a shared area, I noticed many knives seemed dirty (people grabbing them with dirty hands or so). Maybe just give them out as they order to keep clean. Once I went to dispose of my dirty dish, I noticed the place has other sections you can sit and enjoy your food/coffee. Explore it fully before you decide to sit.

I really like this place. But I've gotta say the quality has diminished A LOT. Music too loud, staff thinks its a bar not a coffee shop. You sometimes can't even have a convo in front area unless you're in the back rooms. Also always staff turnover and they make drinks all different and don't seem to put effort into making them right. Overall nice place but becoming increasingly disappointed.
