I was in town for a trade show and needed to find some good coffee nearby that wasn't Starbucks. Stacks checked all the boxes: good coffee, GREAT breakfast sandwiches and friendly staff. I would highly recommend!

This place should be the standard of what a coffee place should be. Great ambience and food/drinks. I usually order the Alice which is eggs, cheese on plain bagel and it's delicious. I get it with a latte. I like how they hired professional, kind, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I remember coming in on a rainy day and the ambiance was great! the soft jazz café music playing in the background was so calming and serene. I hope this place stays as is since Albany doesn't have many coffee shops and the only one self proclaimed coffee shop(Professor Java's) has stale unfresh food and staff who everyone complained about were rude. This Stacks is much needed. I used to go to the one in Lark street when I visited Albany but it was cramped and too many dogs were roaming about. This place on Albany-Shaker is stratefically placed and I hope they continue to have a lot of business. These people who work here are artisans, which means they know what they're doing.

Stopped in before and liked their coffee. Considering that the other small coffee shop that I was a loyal customer to (since the shutdown) had closed, I figured I'd give Stacks another shot. Had a coffee and a bagel egg sandwich (Greg) and was more than satisfied. Definitely found my new spot for a coffee and egg sandwich. They're open on Saturday, which is a definite plus. I'll be frequenting them more.

The iced vanilla latte was very average. A little bit too sweet for my liking as well. However, the service was great and so was the atmosphere! Very bright inside with plenty of seating. I love the bar top to sit at along the windows, so you can watch traffic while relaxing with your cup of joe!

Stopped in to Stacks while on a road trip and was quite pleased. The food and drinks were top notch and the atmosphere was great. Perfect place to grab a quick coffee while waiting for your EV to charge down the street!
I've been on working on North Pearl for more than 10 years. Today a coworker was having a "Gryphon." I asked here where she bought it and she said, "Stacks." I had never heard of the espresso bar, but I have seen it. It is a very clean, lovely place. Staff is friendly and the sandwich was DELICIOUS!
