I don’t recommend this place either. I had a bad experience with a duo who thought it was ok to have their baby cart blocking the aisle where people enter. It was uncomfortable as someone with curves. Even thin people had to squeeze by and press against the glass wall to get by. I should of walked out but I was with someone. It really upset me how parents can be so disrespectful . The child looked more than old enough to walk. The stroller was stuffed with clothes and blocking the aisle and I’m sure the male of the duo sensed my frustration since the female was focused on her food and nothing else. Not only does that ruin the atmosphere but my day. I was over it and wanted to leave. The food and drinks were good but they were on the pricer side. The coffee scene in Albany is non existent. It’s either too crowded or a far drive fir subpar coffee. I like to support small businesses but this makes one rethink.

The food is tasteless and cheap, the service is good, the tables and chairs are wonky and falling apart, besides that the place looks okay. Completely overpriced, you would get a more thrilling experience at the Starbucks down the street. Overall not worth it and will go out of business soon, Wired was better in every way in terms of taste, price, and service.

I purchased an almond milk latte, and it was not drinkable. Something was definitely wrong with it. It tasted like pure chemicals. A large was equivalent to a medium at other coffee places and it was more expensive than most places.

I don't recommend this place. I went with a friend and we didn't get many things, the total was over $30. This place is overpriced for what it is. My friend's drink was cold when it was supposed to be a hot drink. My drink was subpar, which was disappointing since I love espresso. There was a young blonde female working there who was being berated by a Miss. Trunchbull from Matilda type "woman". This Trunchbull character did something off putting to my friend. My friend was done paying and she shook the tip jar in front of her and also in front of another male who came after us. She was very rude and abrasive. I am usually very sweet and kind to people but I found myself having to catch a slight attitude. She acted like she couldn't hear me while taking my order and treated me rudely. The cups she showed me were also very small for a large size. Overall, I had a bad experience. I have been to the Stacks on Lark and the place is too crowded and cramped with dogs inside, an absolute turn off. I dont recommend it here.

Went here with a couple friends for coffee/tea and pastries. My almond milk cappuccino was delicious and their almond croissant are on the small side but still very good. The vibe at this location is bright but very industrial and a bit cold. They've thrown in a few plants but overall could use some more comfortable seating. I'd come back for the coffee, but only to go next time.

This review is for the Albany Shaker Rd location. Service is friendly albeit a bit on the slow side, coffee is good and the atmosphere is relaxed. They have a limited selection of pastries that are always stale and when you have them warmed up they become soggy.

The perfect spot to set up your office or study time. It is quiet, great natural lighting, delicious beverages and they even have couple of private rooms for meetings.I highly recommend it if you want to change your office view or even have some me time for reading or projects. Keep in mind they close at 3pm.Also the staff is super friendly.Parking won’t be an issue.Wheelchair accessibility: The parking is wide open and the wheelchair ramp is also big, no stairs or steps to get in the coffee shop and the floor surface is flat.

The place is cute. Located near the hotel. I ordered cafe mocha and warmed chocolate croissant. The mocha is just OK. It's lacking sweetness. Not sure if it's supposed to be like that but I dont think it has sugar at all. As for the croissant, it was warmed but still cold inside. It doesnt have crunch at all. I'll probably try other coffee next time But not the pastries. Service is good though.

Hatter breakfast sandwich barely had any smoked salmon in the spread. Pickled onions just tasted like vinegar and the winter greens were just kale. First time trying and was not very impressed for the price.

Just as good as their other spots. The wait is a little long, needs more staff. I believe this can be a popular place. Menu is themed after Alice in Wonderland. Coffee is on point. Stacks is definitely a top 5 Capital District coffee shop.

Knows how to make a nice espresso. Rare find compared to the bitter stuff you usually find. Clean and bright. Will try one of their eqq sandwiches. Looked great.

So far so good for this new location. Stacks is replacing another coffee shop that went out of business here. I've only tried coffee so far but look forward to trying food and pastries too. I was greeted warmly when I came In. I started by ordering a regular coffee but changed my order when I saw all the options they had. They had a sign saying that the pumpkin sauce was in stock so I decided to have the barista make me a pumpkin latte. It was a very aromatic and flavorful cup if a little sweet for my taste. Only one pump for me next time. They had some really Interesting drink specials including one with root beer, seltzer and espresso. They also have sandwiches, salads and pastries. Looking forward to trying more!
