One of the best bars in Albany. It’s a wonderful space that’s unchanged and that’s hard to find. They have some of the best beer around and it really feels like and old style English pub. I love this place and hope it never changes.

This is an awesome local pub. If you are interested I meeting people and engaging in conversation with other guests or the bartenders this is the place to do so. No tvs to distract from the conversation.Great selection of beers to choose from. Kayla and Diane behind the bar made me feel so welcome. I will most definitely rely return. However, I heard the pub was recently purchased by new owners. If the new owners change a thing it would be criminal.

Always the best spot to stop in Albany for a bite n beer. Albany’s historic escape! Come find your favorite historic framed photo and stay for a while. Can always find a good Chatham beer on tap! Always looking forward to the garden out back, can’t wait for the spring. This staple is a great stop as it stands out from other businesses in the area. Kaylalalalaaa was an amazing bartender!

This is by far the best bar that I have encountered. Having traveled though out the northeast there has not been a place that compares. The employees, most notably Kayla, are superb and the food exceptional. I truly hope this place does not change; as it an oasis from the typical college bars that hoist TV’s on every wall and impede natural conversations with great people. An institution: 100%

I've been coming here for 6 months and have become a semi-regular. Kayla and Cheyenne are two of the best business-women/bartenders I have ever met. I have genuinely become friends with them and hope to stay in touch when I leave Albany for work purposes. I've sampled some other bars in Albany and the Olde English has the most charm and welcoming vibes out of any of them. I can't recommend it enough. I will be back here for sure.
We were visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this gem!! Food was great…service was EVEN better! Shoutout to Kayla, the best General Manager in town…she went ABOVE AND BEYOND!

Last straw reached. I had a chicken pot pie today, listed in the menu as "market price" and it literally had only 2, yes 2, small chicken flakes in it. Most was potato and a few carrots. The charge? $23.00!!!!! Insane. This is the last in a series of high hopes based on the nice menu descriptions, and the foods disappointing reality, where maximizing profit and cutting corners is apparently the business plan.
