Wow! Cathy’s is a gem! They are slammed during the Summer months and open year around. The Jalapeño Bacon quiche was delicious. The creaminess of the eggs, chopped jalapeños throughout, pieces of bacon and the crust is just crispy enough to be a delight. Combined with a iced caramel macchiato made this breakfast something to come back for. The menu is limited right now during the winter, but between the muffins, danishes and daily breakfast specials, come early before they are sold out.

Went in at 10:00 am Saturday. Waited in line for 10 minutes. Cook was making food and serving people who had ordered. Got up to order and we were told they would not be preparing any more food. Please note, we were the last in line at that time and we had been waiting in line. They could have announced that they were done cooking when we went in or while we were waiting, or they could have served us before stopping. Shows no respect for the customer. We go out for breakfast every weekend, but will not be going back there. They lost a good customer due to complete lack of consideration. Not a good way to run a business.

I love discovering cute coffee places with a variety-filled menu! I thought I had found such a place in Alexandria Bay! Located conveniently on an intersection corner, and with a menu with quite a few yummy-sounding flavors.After a drizzly boat tour, I wanted a decaf latte to warm me back up. Once I decided what flavor I wanted, I began to order my latte, and the young girl behind the counter interrupted me and said they don't serve decaf espresso. So I asked what decaf options there were, since it was 3pm and too late for me to have caffeine, and she said none. Apparently they don't serve decaf in the afternoons? In all my years of avoiding caffeine after noon, I've never encountered a coffee shop without decaf at all.The girl gave me such attitude too. My friend turned to me after we left and made a comment about making it out of there safely, because she looked like she wanted to kill us for daring to intrude on her day. If this was my coffee shop, I'd fire her, even if she was my daughter.This is sadly the only coffee shop in the touristy town of Alexandria Bay, and it has the potential to do so well, but it greatly disappointed me. I walked out without ordering anything.

BE WARNED - terrible customer service and terrible quality! The young girl who took our order was super rude - never said hi or greeted us (terrible customer service!) Her only body language was the movement/ rolling of her eyes when we ordered our coffees. Worst part was we ordered an iced americano which we found out was NOT freshly made, but rather came out of a bottle. And for $4.50?!? Ridiculous.NOT WORTH IT.

Coffee was terrible. Server was rude. Never asked for my order, just walked to the register and stared blankly. But that's not the bad part - that is forgive-able. What ISN'T forgive-able is the quality of coffee. Gross and terrible. Do not bother! I'm sure several others on vacation in the 1,000 Islands have attempted to find a good local coffee find. Well, Coffee Pot Cathy's AIN'T it.

I don’t know what that young girl at the registers problem is. We just wanted to grab a quick bite and get some coffee. The girl looked like she absolutely HATED her life. My SO wanted and ice coffee with creamer. She tells him “ the creamer and sugar is over there” and rolls her eyes. The older woman comes up and says “you can still serve them” and corrects her right in front of us. Her attitude just baffled me. I asked her what the pastry was in the show case and she turns her back on me and answered mumbling that I couldn’t understand her. The service was absolutely garbage. We will not be coming back here.
We stopped by here for lattes and to kill some time while waiting for our Heart Island shuttle.It’s a cute café and looks like a local favorite, as it was very busy at 9:30 am on a Thursday. Luckily, one group was leaving as we arrived, so we were able to get one of the few tables. Cathy was our waitress and was friendly and efficient. Her grandson (great grandson?) was helping out, trying his best at being a waiter. He looks like he's 9 or 10? So adorable.Our hot vanilla lattes with extra espresso shots were great, as were our muffins.Note: We did stop here again after our Boldt Castle Tour to grab a couple lattes for the road. We were the only customers at that time. A teenage barista was working and was friendly. We forgot to order extra espresso so our lattes were way too weak; more like mild coffee flavored milk. Our fault for forgetting, but the lattes definitely need the extra shots.

As a teenager with a coffee addiction that has got to be the best iced coffee I have ever had. They were super busy with food orders and drinks but service was great on took 2 minutes!!!
