Had a wonderful, relaxed meal with 4 adults and 3 kids - fish and chips, fried chicken and spaghetti and meatballs from adult and kid menus were delicious. Server very patient and accommodating. Chocolate pudding cake was delicious.Kid-friendliness: Kids 6,8,10 were obviously welcome and their needs were met food-wise through a kids menu and by sharing adult food. They also enjoyed playing with an old fashioned rotary pay phone. Parking right at restaurant so no dangerous crossings, atmosphere felt relaxed and safe enough for older boys to go to bathroom on their own.

If you order for food to go , be prepared to wait a long time. They are extremely understaffed in the morning especially and they prioritize in house orders, even those that come in AFTER the to go orders. Absolutely horrible way to operate. While I think local businesses in Ardsley have a tough time because of the horrible traffic, lack of support from the village and limited parking options, you guys need to get your act together.

I work close so I eat here a lot. And I really like this restaurant, but today I got a Caesar salad in a smoothie and ended up with food poisoning. I've never been so sick in my life. This is the only time it's happened. I've eaten here a dozen times without a problem except for today.

We stopped for breakfast and were really impressed by the quality, quantity of our food at a very affordable price.I had a sunflower seed flat bagel, with eggs and avocado and a hashbrown and it was delicious! The coffee was also very good. The service was awesome and we’ve been served very quickly.Very clean inside the dining area and restrooms. This is a place worth stopping in at anytime you're in the area.

My review has 2 parts: (1) right after ordering and (2) after finishing our meal. I’d like to add that I don’t often write reviews; let alone while I’m out, but I had to.The place and menu looks great, but after the service when ordering at the counter i almost wanted to cancel it. I ordered the “build your own sandwich” and saw the flagels on the menu so I asked the guy what flavors they were and he just shrugged his shoulders high. He may think it’s a silly question, but the flagels/bagels are not labeled, with multiple flavored flagels in one bin. Am I supposed to be an all-knowing psychic goddess? No. I’m just a girl, wanting to know if it was an onion or garlic flagel. If you work in customer service as well as the food industry, shrugging your shoulders is not the move. I’m not even mad that he doesn’t respond when anyone says Thank You to him. i’m just mad that he didn’t answer questions; If you can’t, have someone else answer it.French onion soup was great except my boyfriend said he didnt like the bread in the soup. He thinks its wheat (lol) but overall recommend it.Center panini St. sandwich on a flagel ok. Needs a sauce (i asked for hot sauce and then thought an aioli would perfect it.)Omelette was good but not worth it.

The ShopIs it a deli? Is it a restaurant? Is it both?Is the food great? Yes.The Shop had been on my radar and even though Ardsley is twenty minutes away, it feels like you have driven into different dimension, possibly The Shire? And it is also on the border of Dobb’s Ferry, which makes it even more confusing. I just looked at a map and it comes as no surprise that it also borders an area called Woodlands. ??We visited The Shop during the day and I was a little confused because it was definitely shouting deli vibes even though the left side of the space is furnished beautifully… the chairs, tables and booths are so nice… and the deli side is nice too… very clean and organized, but definitely a deli. The daytime menu reads like a deli/diner… so I asked to see the night time menu. Not deli like. (Cannot wait to return for dinner.)How was the food?Excellent. You could taste that there is either a chef behind it or some seriously seasoned cooks. My husband and I shared a Reuben. I had a clam chowder. Our son ordered choc chip pancakes and our daughter a smoothie! EVERYTHING was delicious. I am not a pancake person for health reasons and because most take me back to Bisquick and high school home ec. I kept stealing bites from my kid’s pancakes. The clam chowder was bacon-forward and delicious. Silky. I just used this word to describe the amazing shrimp and corn chowder that I had at Go Fish. The difference between a cafeteria chowder and a cheffie chowder is flour. A well-executed chowder should not feel like hot clammy floury milk.Guys… Ardsley is happening. Many of you already know this so… forgive me for being late to the party. A few notable places are Umami sushi (real sushi bar featuring omakase), Neung Thai Kitchen (BYO booze) and very soon, hopefully, the famous Liebman’s deli! Please share your own favorites below.(p.s. I have been here ONCE… take everyone’s opinion with a grain of salt. Try it for yourself.) — at At The Shop.(From Westchester Foodies in FB a 100% community of cooks and eaters. 17k and growing.)

I want to like this place, I really do. The decor and comfort levels are great, and the menu is good. Today though has put me off going back anytime soon. The girl behind the counter was lovely, and I chose to order "Eggs your Way", which isn't as it describes. I ordered poached, soft eggs, a side of bacon and a toasted bagel. My food was dropped down pretty quickly, which was great, but the eggs were scrambled. When I asked about this I was told "we don't do poached" and that was that. The bagel arrived soon after, burnt. Annoying, off-putting, and like I said, I want to like this place, but this last experience is enough to ensure I won't be back.

Our waitress "Crystal" was so freaking awesome. She could give a class on customer service to workers in other places we've patronized. She was friendly, attentive, thorough and helpful. She made sure we were good as far as our food choices and fixed whatever choices we weren't too fond of. Crystal is exceptional at what she does (from my interaction with her - first time at The Shop Ardsley) and I would recommend going back. But the establishment as a whole is awesome. The owner is friendly and welcoming. My party of four enjoyed our Fried chicken, spinach dip, hummus, drinks (spicy margarita and old fashioned) were good too. I would recommend this place and would come back to this place in the future. Maybe next weekend! ??

Extremely slow service. Be prepared to wait 30 mins for an egg sandwich after you order.

Great spot for a quick casual dinner. Came here when I was craving French onion soup and they didn't disappoint. They have a small menu but a variety of options. I've had their Philly cheesesteak sandwich also and it was great, definitely want to try their breakfast and brunch here also. If you're looking for a cozy diner vibe but a lot more elevated, this is a great spot.

Stay away! Ordered a Caesar salad on a spinach wrap earlier today and now I have food poisoning. Pretty sure this was due to the chicken which my wife mentioned, didn't smell good. Plus they screwed up my order. It was never supposed to even come with chicken, just wanted a Caesar salad wrap, and they wrapped it in a flour tortilla rather than spinach. So yeah, great, this place is awful
