I ordered a beef sharwama and it had no taste and was very mediocre, no seasoning no flavor.

El Shami Restaurant is a very nice restaurant in Aqaba! The place is very typical and the food is incredibly good and at a very good price. The service was excellent and they let us try loads of local Jordan food. VERY RECOMMENDED!!!

This place goes years back and amazing to see the standard of food and service still impressive, especially relative to the prices. We had fatoush, fatet hummus (highly recommend), kebab orrfaly (highly recommend) and kebbe and mint lemonade (highly recommend) and paid just under 200dh which is value for money. Complimentary tea after finished off nicely, very hospitable.

The wait staff was terrific. The many nationalities that served us were friendly and totally professional. The food was very good and I went back for several other meals.

I ate here twice...the first time was amazing but the second wasn’t quite as good as first but still very good. The garlic spread is to die for and the baba Ganesh was yummy. Salads are a real treat as served very different from the US and a better way when all partake with the wonderful ethnic sauces and hummus available. Service was very good and we sat outside first time and inside second time.
Have been visiting this restaurant since years. The grill are appetizing. But like others mentioned taste is not as great as it used to be. Still its a family friendly restaurant with outdoor seating as well. May have to give a second thought to revisit as there are many competitive restaurants in town.

I have seen the quality of this restaurant change over several years from excellent, to good, to mediocre, to poor :( Such a pity, really a shame! Prices increased, portions became smaller, quality of food has been lowered to the minimum, service is very very poor.... Lots of compliments and kind words from the service staff but, at the end, a lousy service. Very basic language skills of the waiters might be (part of the) service quality problem, however when it comes to food quality, prices and portion sizes, there is little room for interpretation. I remember the golden days of this restaurant, when all taxi drivers of Dubai were eating there and food tasted great. I realize Dubai has changed a lot over the years and so has the global price level, however the management of Al Shami could have adopted the smarter strategy of increasing the prices and maintaining the quality... Sadly this has clearly not been done.

Ordered shish tawook, falafel and Shawarma. Shawarma is terrible, and so fatty. Falafel is good. While the shish tawook sandwich comes with tomatoes and mayo sauce which is so strange to me.

This was our third visit to this place with family . Nice place to enjoy Arabic food . We had hummus , cheese manakish , zaatar manakish , falafel sandwich, cocktail. Everything was fantastic. The hot pita bread served here tastes very good with the hummus . The staff was very good and the ambience was very nice too . They do have outdoor seating area to enjoy the meal during winters . RTA parking is available but might have to struggle on weekends to find one .

Faultless. Great value; wonderful food and excellent service. The mixed starter and lamb platters a joy of Middle Eastern food.
