We use to try different places in Astoria. Today we decided to have our brunch there. Everything was delicious and very reasonable. We ordered Greek salad, fried calamari and mushrooms ravioli. Also , they have our favorite beer on the tap.

I was in town for a funeral and was looking for a place to accommodate 15-20 people for lunch the next day, which happened to be a Saturday. They very accommodating to us. We were able to use a back room to sit together and feast as a family. The food was delicious! We had plenty of time to sit and enjoy appetizers, pasta, chicken, desserts. Everyone in our group enjoyed it all.

If you grew up in Astoria in the 1960s as I did, you fondly remembered Frankie's Pizzeria, right under the Ditmars subway stop. It was just a by-the-slice place, which then was all I/we could afford. Frankie's is long gone, but fortunately Astoria now has not just a great place for pizza, but a location for sit-down Italian dinners with a glass of wine, for a reasonable price: Alba's. The food, service, and ambiance are all first rate. The owner really cares about you enjoying your meal. And while Astoria now has more hipsters in black t-shirts and stocking caps than Neapolitan-born grandpas wearing flannel shirts and workman's caps, Alba takes your heart...and taste buds...back to the yes, good old days. If you have family members or friends who grew up in Astoria and moved away long ago, invite them back for a Sunday afternoon: stand on Shore Boulevard and marvel at the only place in America where you can see two iconic bridges simultaneously. Look at the biggest swimming pool in America. And then go to Alba's and order...anything! Your taste buds will thank you.

This Italian place could be my go to in Astoria. I loved the Linguine zuppa de mare. Very scrumptious.Parking: It's New York city, even in Astoria, parking is challenging.

The clams were no good in the zuppa de mare, they were shredded to nothing after being cooked , the shrimp and calamari were good, had to discard two muscles, no good. Its six hours since I ate there and im getting stomach aches. The service sucked, the waitress said they were backed up in the kitchen, obviously mgmt not ready for the Friday nite crowd.the salad took 20 mins to get to our table. Wife enjoyed her veal .been to this restaurant many times b4 and had good meals, dont know what happened to it. No fresh fish once and I will never return, never had this problem at Portobello, go to Portobello the fish is delicious and always fresh !

This Italian pizza restaurant is a great pizzeria and so much more! There homemade soups, specialty sandwiches, and fully stocked bar put this place over the top! The owner, Sal, is pretty much always there and keeps food and service quality very high! Definitely one of my faves...

The food quality has diminished over the years. Overpriced and poor quality make for a bad experience. This USED to be the place to go to for a nice hero or a slice. ive had too many bad experiences to continue being a customer there.
