I checked out Omonia Cafe after a stranger recommended it to me. Omonia Cafe has been around since the 1970s, and when you walk in, you can tell it probably hasn't been renovated since then. My boyfriend and I ordered a tiramisu cup and some wings. The tiramisu cup was tasty--it was very chocolaty and rich. The wings, according to my bf, tasted like they had been pulled out of the freezer. When the check came, the tiramisu cup rang up to a whopping $13. While I liked the nostalgia of Omonia Cafe, the high prices and general atmosphere of it leave much to be desired.

Delicious coffee! You can really tell the difference between this coffee and regular, every day chain-store coffee! Service was friendly and he took the time to explain some differences between Greek and regular coffee. Fresh and delicious!

some of the friendliest customer service I’ve ever gotten in nyc! Made you feel like family and the crepes were delicious. We came on a sunny Saturday afternoon and it was extremely pleasant to sit outside and enjoy our meal :)

Only visit this place when I am looking for something different. Definitely not a go-to place. Each time I go it is 3/4 empty and just random tables of Greek men sitting and BS-ing. The service is always mediocre at best. The waitress is very nice but not attentive. She is also often waiting tables by herself so not fastest service (not her fault). I got the Romeo & Juliet crepe which is slightly dense and thick (not typical crepe). I also ordered without the Nutella so the crepe itself was very dry. When I do this at other locations the crepe is usually still tasty. It is definitely packed with a lot of fruit. Cappuccinos are always good. I have never been really impressed with their pastries or desserts. As stated, not terrible enough to say I'll never be back, but only an option when I'm looking for a change.

I love this little bakery/cafe/lounge! The desserts looked fresh and tasted great ! The mini pecan pie and mini apple pies were so yummy! They warm it up for you and if you want ice cream (ala mode) they have that too! So happy we found it after dinner next to the restaurant we initially went to . So many pastries to choose from! Will be back again and soon!! The guy who took our order reminded me of an angry grandpa lol but he was nice in the end! He prob owns the place :)

I've been coming to Omonia a long, long time. It was the after party spot after dancing the night away in Astoria or in the city during high school and college. They've been around since 1977 and they're still fantastic. My early morning tennis plans got rained out so my tennis friend and I went out for coffee and tea. My Nescafé was dark, creamy and unsweetened, delicious as ever. My tennis friend's herbal tea was just as it should be, and served in a large, oval mug. Their prices are average and the service was excellent. You pass the case of a festival of delicious sweets. I eyed them as I passed by, telling myself "another time." Omonia has always had the best and freshest Greek pastries in Astoria.

I understand why this place has such bad reviews. Ordered touloumba and it was stale! So stale that it would potentially bounce off a table if thrown! Why would you sell that? Also, it took 20 minutes to get coffee to go. Disaster.

One of my fave spots in Astoria. Great selection of pastries . Love their coffee. It's a great spot to hang out with friends and enjoy food, drinks, coffee . Service is on point and friendly. Love when they open the space on the summer you feel like you are in Europe drinking coffee and people watching.

Really good and strong greek coffee. I also got a greek salad and it was so good with fresh vegetables. Very cute decorations with giant glass windows. I wish i could come back at dinner/lunch time because I'm sure the food would be good.

How can you not love this place! I come here every Sunday with my family, our waitress is phenomenal & the most welcoming she can possibly be. Food is always tasty, coffee is good & the amount of desserts to choose from can't be beat. This past Sunday, it was our lovely Lola's birthday and we had the pleasure of celebrating here. They even brought out a candle and sang happy birthday! Omonia, you are the best!

Today I purchased a tsoureki bread in their cafe. Normally this sells for anywhere from $5 to $10 per unit when I used to get it at Titan. But Omonia sells bread by the pound! Never have I seen bread sold by the pound anywhere. I paid the ridiculous $16 price because it was a gift for my husband's mom, but never again. Total ripoff. Why don't they put price tags on the breads? No, because they would never sell it at that price. Live and learn - never again.

Love Cafe to Go. Send all my customers in need of a espresso based drinks here. They are one reason I do not want to bring an espresso machine into my business.
