Overall a good experience. The crowd on Easter Sunday was raucous and at times profane. But the wait staff was attentive and efficient. They know how to make the most of a small space and made everyone feel comfortable. I had a shrimp dish that I found tasteless and mediocre. My wife had a fish stew over rice that was much tastier. The black beans are a must-have. We shared our generous portions and I was happy. The prices aren't cheap but reasonable by today's inflated standards. We will return.

We were very well attended to by Luiz, the food was delicious, it took a while and we went to eat at around 4 in the afternoon. Nothing reheated or anything like that. I highly recommend it.

Post-meal, OWNER automatically adds a 25% service charge?!!?! For a party of two !!!Not posted or advised anywhere.I am in favor of generous tipping but a) believe it is the diner's choice and b) I have strong doubt this goes to the staff but instead, is a method to gouge/avoid credit card fee cap regulations.If it does go to the staff, they should earn it. They do not.I won't be returning.

Came here for Valentines Day with my family- 2 adults and 3 kids. Great atmosphere and loved the decor. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. The food was the best, we started with some appetizers and for our main dish we had the churrasco and the rib dish. My kids devoured their plates. We will definitely be coming back and I definitely recommend this place. Very kid friendly as well.

My bf took me here for Valentine’s Day and baby we had a TIME. We were very lucky to have found a place last minute to have availability on the day of Valentine’s Day first and for most. The server was absolutely amazing, he was very patient with us as we don’t speak nor understand Portuguese. The entire menu is in Portuguese which isn’t a bad thing for those who wish to expand the palette. I had the chicken w cognac sauce, it was absolutely delicious. Everything on the menu sounds intimidating but trust me what I had was DELICIOUS. For des, we had the banana and ice cream flambé!!! Run don’t walk to order that dish! Perfect way to end your night (:

To make it worse he said: call grubhub and ask them to refund you because we are closing( my order was literally ONE AND A HALF HOUR before they close) I never felt so disrespected as a consumer like this. I’m a manager in a restaurant and in this case I would act completely different especially because I always order in this restaurant. I hope the manager at Favela adress this to their employees to pay attention on the orders that they get.
