the best pupusas: best ingredients and flavor for your money (in all of NYC)- great service

The place is very clean, the attention of the waiters is excellent, we have gone to eat there several times, one of those times my daughter ordered chicken with slices and she didn't like it, I thought she was the one with the problem, we came back and I ordered chicken with slices And if I saw that she was right, the chicken with slice was nothing to see, the chicken doesn't feel fresh and on top of that paying $30 didn't seem fair to me, I will return to the place just for the pupusas because they are a delight,

The place was clean, the service was impecable, although, and this is a very specific and personal observation, there were ZERO women in the establishment. It's not a "make it or break it" point to make, but a needed point to make, nonetheless! LOL. I am Salvadorean so my biggest curiosity was to citric the food and I was not disappointed! Everything was delicious, I think even the water was delicious! It's in Astoria where parking can be harrowing BUT the establishment is right next to a small parking lot that charges $2 an hour, not too shabby. Did I mention that the staff was nothing but young, handsome men, so listen up young ladies and single gay bachelors! ? But I still needed at least one beautiful, intelligent member of the opposite sex, hey maybe the owner is and she makes the rules so kudos to her. Sorry, I digress, this place is great and I recommended it wholeheartedly!!!Vegetarian options: I'll be honest, I briefly saw one dish but that was in passing, no disrespect to you vegetarians but I could care less about any of that, sorry, I'm being honest!Parking: There's a $2 per hour parking directly next to the restaurant! Any closer and you would be eating in the lot!Kid-friendliness: I guess, I saw kids there eating french fries and some kind of salchicha.Wheelchair accessibility: Well there's a small street level dining area but no actual ramps that I could see, but I may be wrong.

The place is very nice, but the food in general was very salty. The service was lovely and very fast. I would like to give it a second chance and I hope the food tastes better, the presentation is very nice.

We’ve lived in the area for a couple of years now and a little sad we’ve only heard of this spot yesterday. SO GOOD! Delicious food - we tried their pupusas, tamales, and margarita especial! You also can’t go wrong with their drinks. The tamarind frozen margarita was perfectly balanced, their passionfruit mojito was so enjoyable & good, and their coquito is such a treat. We’ll definitely come back for more!

I come to this place often but I will never come back again. The last time I ordered a michelada drink and they sent me just a beer with barely any sauce. Then they said they would resend me a new michelada made well yet they never did. The bartender and also the person I spoke with were extremely rude and tried to argue with me telling me that I’m wrong. It’s not a cheap drink and all I wanted was for them to make it right and resend me the drink. I would never pay over $10 for a beer but that ended up happening and they didn’t care to do anything about it. It’s also the fact that not one but both people I spoke with kept trying to tell me that I’m wrong about what I’m telling them. Obviously the manager is not doing a good job at training their employees in customer service. The most terrible customer service!!!!! Never going back after this experience.

First time checking out this spot. Stopped by last minute with no dinner reservations. We were greeted warmly and offered a table indoor or outdoor with heated lamps. We opted for indoors as I’m not a fan of the cold. Tried the sangria. It was strong! Only had one. The ceviche was delicious. The pupusa took a long time to come out. It was okay. I would try something else next time.

I’m a picky eater.. especially if it’s from my country! This is by far the best authentic Salvadoran food i’ve had!! The zucchini & chicken pupusas, the carne asada with rice & beans…oh and the marañon juice were all 10/10, highly recommend!!
