Food and service(Antonio) was tops. Price was exceptionally reasonable. Highly recommended. Porgy and stuffed tomatoes, both very well well made and super tasty. Desert(Galaktobouriko) on the house is not to be passed, even if your full, lol.

Is one of those classic Astoria Greek restaurants. Very authentic, good, and enjoyable. On this evening I had what they call the Seafood Combination. It had a variety of different fish grilled and stuffed. It was really good, but I don't think that's the right thing to order as there's an incredible steam table with so many different selections. Large groups are welcome with their back table space and family size portions with shareables is the way to go. Recommend.

classic staple for Greek food in the heart of Astoria, right off the N train ditmars stop...it's fast, hot, fresh authentic Greek food at an affordable price. did you really visit Astoria if you didn't have stamatis at least once???

My son and I had lunch here based on the good reviews, and the restaurant did not disappoint. Service was excellent, fresh bread and good quality olive oil for dipping were provided after being seated, and our water glasses were never empty. The Pastitsio I ordered was excellent and the portion was generous. My son ordered the Moussaka and thought it too was excellent. I was full after the main course, but the waiter brought over free dessert, Galaktoboureko, which was extremely good. An excellent all-around dining experience.

I visited this Greek restaurant 3 months ago, as a guest of relatives in Astoria, New York. Very warm welcome and fast service. Typically Greek dishes. It is very close to the metro station. Very large environment. It is very minimal I would say as typical Greek restaurants usually are. I was struck by the fact that the chefs, although they seem to be typically Greek, speak perfect Greek.Vegetarian options: Greek salad, stir-fried vegetables, tzatziki.

If we could give a minus 1 we would. We sat down and had to flag down someone to wait on us. How lucky we were to get a woman who was even more unpleasant than the lady in the cafeteria in high school who "slung hash" in the food line. My wife was very explicit about the size of the red snapper she wanted. So much so that she escorted Ms Unpleasant to the grill men to make sure she was getting the fish she wanted. Ms Unpleasant was not happy about the trip to the grill, one bit! We also ordered lima beans and octopus. Instead of serving the beans with the fish, they came out first. 15 Minutes later the octopus came out.... cold, hard, burnt, crusty, just plain nasty.....! Kind of like our waitress. Then the fish, exactly 1 hour after we sat down. The fish was opened, which we did not request, so it was cold and dry. It had been sitting on the counter a while before Ms Unpleasant got around to serving it. $113. for a perfectly horrible fish dinner at a, perceived as, top level greek restaurant. I did leave a $10 tip, against my better judgement. We told the owner of our displeasure with our meal, he could not have cared less. So, unless you are a certified Ouozo drinker, stay away from this restaurant. And if you like this place, you know nothing about good fish, good service, and a good restaurant. Stink-a-roo! Shame-on-you!
