Cute Taverna, i had the meatballs & tirokafteri i loved them. Greek salad& fish were great too. Some places have hard tomatoes, these tomatoes were fresh& juicy.

Best place to eat home style Greek food, we go to this place at least 2 to 3 times a week to enjoy the traditional Greek food. Daily specials change every day which is great if you eat out for lunch on a daily. Hands down the best Branzino and Calamari in Astoria.
What an experience. Food was amazing. Service was fantastic.you really feel like you’re eating in a taverna in Greece. Highly recommend and recommend coming hungry because the portions here are big but amazing quality.

Swordfish steak, lemon potatoes, Calamari, Greek rice -- all perfectly prepared for a take out order! That is the "normal way" they do business -- and, with a smile, positive attitudes, genuine friendliness, and a "Thank you!" That is why this elderly retired Marine, continually supports this place as both a "dine in" guest and a "carry out" customer! And, I feel truely obligated to leave 20+% tips to the hostesses when I am a "carry out" customer, because I strongly believe that these ladies service is a crucial element of the continuous success of Taverna Kyclades Astoria! Don't waste your time or money eating seafood anywhere else in Astoria!

Very unimpressed. Taverna was quiet, no music playing and the one staff member that was there was apathetic. We ordered various appetizers including the pikilia, loukanika, fried zucchini, drakos salad and calamari. The calamari was soggy, the skordalia and fava were nothing to talk about, the tirokafteri was good.. loukanika were ok, drakos salad was ok. Extremely disappointed in the poor quality of the appetizers- especially since this taverna is not necessarily reasonably priced. Very embarrassed, especially as a Greek, of the poor quality here.
The best Greek authentic food ever in New York City. I'm gonna give them 100 stars if I could. A wide selections of healthy seafood are good for my diet too.

Taverna Kos treats you like family. They have this way of making you feel welcome without being intrusive. They offered us refills on our 3 dip sampler (tzatsiki, spicy feta, and garlic potato) which was super yummy! Dessert was on the house, and they offered seconds on that as well. Lemon potatoes, lamb chops, and octopus were all delicious.They are cash only, but they do accept Zelle!

This place was absolutely amazing! The staff made you feel right at home. They had a beautiful cozy outdoor area, where we dined for dinner. The food was 10/10, I highly recommend the Greek meatballs, it was flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection just like the rest of the menu. If you never had Greek food, this should be the only spot on your list! It won't disappoint!
