Came from LaGuardia airport for a lite bite. Cocktails were good and so many choices! The vibe was cozy, rustic , and crowded. Manager/owner was present and engaging. Octopus dish and Mac and cheese were clear winners. The shrimp dish was just ok. They Squeezed five people into the table next to us. I thought for sure the girls hair from her ponytail was going to fall into our food, that's how close she was. At that point we were finishing up and I was ready to leave. Didn't want to stick around for coffee or dessert. This isn't the place to go if you like space between you and the other patrons. Noise level was high and I thought it was overpriced..

All I get is the fried chicken whenever I go - it is great. Good weekend vibe (crowded), service is excellent under said crowded conditions, so just sit back and enjoy conversation and good food.

The Pomeroy is always a go to spot when dining out in Astoria, and last night didn't disappoint. The Pan Seared Duck Breast special was off the charts!!! Consistently great food and cocktails with exceptional service and a cozy atmosphere....can't go wrong!!

Love love love this place. Came in here for the first time and the vibes were already great! Food was amazing! Gotta have the garlic shrimp! Ask for extra bread, that sauce is EVERYTHING! The grilled octopus with chorizo was also bomb! And the frickles!!!! Omg they were like potatoe chip pickles! & Tommy is also great! Very friendly and social with a GREAT attitude! Definitely will come back!!

Overall, my dining experience had its highs and lows. While the hostess seemed preoccupied with her phone and had a bad attitude, the servers were attentive, efficient, and polite. Despite the service hiccup, the chicken sandwich stole the show with it's amazing flavor and quality. If the hostess's demeanor improved, it would greatly enhance the overall dining experience. NOW I KNOW WHY A LOT OF THE REVIEWS MENTIONED THE RUDE HOSTESS

HORRIBLE HOSTESS!! A hostess is the first person at a restaurant that you see and sets the tune to the whole dinning experience…I visited last week with my wife and had a horrible experience. The hostess was rude, nasty and lazy neglecting her post and was instead sitting near the bar where no one could see her ,at first I thought she was a drunk customer at the bar trying to talk to us until she told us she was the hostess..She made us wait while engrossed in her phone on social media…Witnessing her mistreat the staff was disheartening. We decided to leave and would advise others to steer clear of this place.

I had a fantastic early dinner here with friends a couple of nights before Christmas. We got here around 5:30pm and the restaurant was not packed (as expected). From my understanding the Pomeroy gets extremely busy so we were pretty lucky with the zero wait.If it's your first time here, definitely try the mac and cheese and short rib tacos!I'll definitely return and try some of their other items on the menu.

My wife and I love this place, we've been coming since it opened. Unfortunately, we've noticed that they have fewer and fewer vegan items every time we go. Even the menu items that can be made vegan are decreasing and I'm not sure why. They've gotten rid of a lot of the grain bowls and salads. It's too bad because we love every other aspect of the restaurant.
