Pricing, food quality, employees, all other items are good except for one thing. Do not ever apply for the BJs Capital One Master Card credit card that's designed to give you $.15 of the pump price of gas and a 5% rewards for selected purchases. While the card does do those things, it also charges an outrageous interest rate and the highest membership fee I've every seen. Our latest monthly bill had a $116.80 membership fee!! Absolutely ridiculous. This far outweighs any perks you are supposed to receive when using the card. This is no reflection on the store's employees, but having a BJs Cap One Master Card credit card is not even close to being worth it!

Mustard fried catfish!!! I love dining there; it's always delicious; the staff are friendly, and they take good care of their customers. The peach cobbler is also a must, BTW!!! Everything I've had at BJ's is wonderful, so enjoy!!!!

This is a review for Fooda pop up that came to 600 W Chicago. The two ladies that ran this were super nice, even gave me a peach cobbler for free as I was low on money. I had the coconut curry chicken , it was quite good. Keep up the good work!

It's hit or miss with place I get the mustard fried catfish mac and cheese and dressing and for the price it's actually usually pretty good. Sometimes the fish is small or not as spicy. The service is usually good but then they have a couple of people there that always got a sour puss and give you attitude. Not my fault you work in fast food if you don't like your job get another one. Should be grateful that I'm coming to your place of work in the first place to help you pay your bills.

I just had the catering from here. AWESOME! The BBQ chicken thighs, Mac and Cheese, Peach Cobbler, and Banana Pudding were all great. The greens looked good too. There were BBQ rib tips and curry chicken. I plan to seek out their locations. This one is definitely on my list of places to get some really good foods.

Went there for lunch Thursday about 12:30 had smothered chicken. The chicken was not hot, and the mashed potatoes were runny, no food on display 2 no customers in restaurant just staff. Would not recommend.

Southern fried catfish, green beans, mac & cheese, and a corn muffin. The catfish wasn't anything without hot sauce, the green beans were average at best, the mac & cheese was creamy, cheesy, delicious and didn't have any trace of bacon dripping flavor like some homemade versions I've had so that was enjoyable. The cornbread was lackluster and dry. It wasn't the worst meal I've ever had, but I was expecting so much more. C+ The cashier was very helpful, patient, and sweet.

I was at Lollapalooza yesterday. Of course before enjoying the music, the first place I stop at is BJ's Market and Bakery to see what they have cookin up over there. Of course with BJ's, there's never a disappointment. I ordered some Chicken Tenders with Korean BBQ and Smoked Bacon Mac n Cheese. It was so good that a stranger sitting next to me, who was disappointed in her choice from another vender, asked if she could have a piece. In addition to the great food, I was also pleased to see that BJ's had a large crew of young people from the Southside community working the booth. They were taking care of business cranking out food and providing exceptional service to the crowds. With all the negative press about the Southside, it was nice to see young people doing a great job and a Southside business owner making a conscious effort to provide them with jobs. This holds true for the restaurants too. So if you are at Lolla or on the Southside of Chicago, stop by BJ's Market and Bakery and get some 'good eatin' and support this GREAT Southside business.

Either this place isn't what it used to be or my taste buds are not what they used to be. I've always ordered the mustard fried Catfish with sides. The fish is just ok and the sides are worthless. You can tell they've been sitting there all day. It looks so unappealing. The best part of the meal was the sauce that goes on the fish.

The people that work here are friendly and knowledgeable. Meat department knows their stuff. Prices are Fair if you buy bulk. Beef, pork, chicken fish are always fresh. Management listens to suggestions.

don't know what happened since 2009, but this place is horrible now. Got the 1/4 J*** special for $6.99. Ok, I rarely complain or post reviews on food. However, this I had to. For starters, the cashier seemed lost. She had to check for sides, this was the afternoon you should be prepared for the lunch crowd. The rice was hard and dried out, the chicken and sauce wasn't even close to j*** sauce, the cabbage was just freakin horrible, picklely cold and hard, chicken dried out, the mac & cheese was the best thing and even it was below average compared to other sites in the area. I'm sorry, after having Morrison on Ashland, Priscilla on west Roosevelt and J*** Villa & J*** City..this place is not even close. Huge disappointment. This is the 2nd worst thing I've had on the Southside. Bleh

This review is on customer service alone. Terrible cashier tending to customer. All the ladies are just standing around and don't greet patrons as they walk in. On top of that, while ordering she just walks away for like 2mins (later realized it was to make sure they had a side order we were getting) and doesn't say "hold on", "be right back", etc. If I was the owner I'd reconsider those hired to serve and be the face of this establishment.
