The breakfast I had was horrible. The egg whites were burnt and the sausages was as hard as a rock. The grits had no flavor at all. This diner use to be awesome. The service was great as the waiter did his best to accommodate my situation with the awful food.

Best corn beef hash I have had in any of the local diners.Staff was very friendly.And you wont have to worry about running low on coffee.Kid-friendliness: Always full of families in the morning for breakfast.

They make the best eggs Benedict. I have tried eggs Benedict at MANY establishments and nobody makes it as good as Baldwin Coach Diner. It has never been over cooked like at other places and the hollandaise has always tasted delicious. My daughter's favorite place also for their breakfast sausage.

The person that I am writing a negative review about, is named, Penny. She is the manager, of the Baldwin Coach Diner, located in, Baldwin N.Y. I had an extremely negative experience with her, and I am reporting it. During my visit to the Diner, I encountered an issue with the attitude, of one of the waiters. When I reported the situation to Penny, she screamed at me, that none of her employees have attitudes! Penny then screamed at me, that I am the person who has an attitude problem! I never had an attitude, with anyone. Nor, did I do anything wrong. As manager, Penny, had no right to take the side of her employee, without making an attempt, to understand the situation, from the perspective, of the customer. As manager, it was her job to be impartial, and show compassion and understanding, to the complaint of a customer. Penny, continued to abrasively yell at me, and argue with me, while defending the waiter, that I reported for having a bad attitude, in front of everyone in the Diner. Penny cursed at me, with numerous obscenities, and she proceeded to throw me out of the Diner. Never, in my entire life, have I had such a negative, traumatic, encounter with someone like this. Penny, has the rudest, nastiest, attitude, that I have ever seen in a person. I also want to note, that I spoke to the Diner owner, named John, about Penny's nasty, hostile, behavior towards me. John, was also, very rude to me, and he refused to hear my side, of the events. John, chose to defend his employee, and John also screamed at me, and accused me, of being the person that was rude! This is NO way, for employees to behave. I left the Diner in tears, because of the horrific way, that Penny screamed at me. Because of Penny, I will no longer be a customer, at Baldwin Coach Diner, located in Baldwin, N.Y. I recommend to everyone, do not ever be a customer at Baldwin Coach Diner, located at 790 Sunrise Highway, Baldwin N.Y. 11510. Penny, will make your experience, the absolute worst! Penny, has a very evil streak to her personality. Avoid Penny, completely. Also, John, the Diner owner, is not respectful, to customers either. John also, is someone that I am telling everyone, to avoid. Everybody, if you are ever in Baldwin, N.Y., you'd be better off, finding another Diner, to visit.
if you are a person of color or minority do not come to this establishment i used to come here every Sunday with my family but i will not anymore they just lost a long returning customer i came here after a long and cold winter day to exchange a bill of 50$ the dunkin donuts next to them has a policy where they do not accept bills larger than 20$ i walked over to a familiar face( which usually has friendly staff the diner) to try to exchange the bill for smaller currency immediately i was shut down by the man working in the front the older gentleman with shorter hair a heavy set and a white beard i asked him politely if i can exchange the bill because dunkin has a policy about not accepting 20s he immediately goes thats not my problem i am not a bank and gives me a look of disgust immediately im thinking maybe i was rude with my tone or maybe i did something to deserve this so i back up and say hey i dont mean anything i just wanted to ask you politely if i can come here for change he goes you do not come to this place and not spend money he laughs at me and tells me i am not your bank and i do not work for dunkin at this point i realized it was never about my currency but immediately he profiled me and thought my money was fake i am angry disgusting and dissappointed on how i was treated here additionally after this encounter happened i went over to the nearest gas station who i met the nicest gentleman that i explained this story and with no doubt in his mind he immediately offered me change and said dont worry about this encounter i heard this happen with many different people at the diner and gave me my money and was nothing but nice to me BALDWIN COACH DINER DO BETTER

I haven’t been to this diner in years, although it’s my local diner. I must say there’s a mark improvement. The lentil soup was missing something but was tolerable. However, the salad was very good. It was not fluffed with lettuce but had enough of the vegetables and proteins to take it home for future meals.
