The food is always fresh, so many varieties. Before the pandemic I joined my friend in celebration of her daughter's graduation. Recently, my friends and I had a farewell party for one of our beloved friend and sister and everyone enjoyed the food. I enjoyed the salmon, broccoli, and string beans. I also enjoyed the beautiful selection of desserts. It's best to arrive with an empty stomach to enjoy all delicacies.

Food is good except the workers wait till the trays are all done to put the next fresh tray out so you end up getting up many times to check if anything new was put out. There was a tray of pizza laying there for 30 minutes with 3 little pieces left and no one was touching it cause it's been laying there so long. The stuffed clams were sitting there so long they turned rancid. My mom ended up spitting it out in her napkin, it was so sour. Other than that they have very good food. Prices are also good. Also you feel like the waitresses talk bad about you if you don't give a good enough tip.

A decent Chinese buffet for a price. After arriving to DJ's International buffet and saw their price $36/person, I came here instead. It's easy to find the buffet and I parked on street because I didn't see any parking area. First impression is the white light and amount of natural light instead of the warm yellow light that other Chinese buffets use makes the whole place look nicer and clean. Food is alright. Similar choice like other places: Chinese fried food, noodles, sushi, salad. I had to give them a big plus on: they serve crab and it's fresh, not the frozen watery type. They also have cherry and great hard-serve ice cream, not the soft-serve and taste like water with color in it. Will visit here again. Staffs are friendly too.

In 14 months of dining here , often on a weekly basis ( the girls obviously noticed when I recently missed a few ) , I have not been disappointed . Although my former favorite waitress has left , turnover is negligible , so the gals are ready for their " regulars " ; if my favorite seat is not taken , I just seat myself and tea is served ........ Now , while Island is smaller than most other Chinese buffets it has advantages I have not found elsewhere : 1 ) Parking is better than any I know of ( the lot is close , big and clean ) 2 ) No music is played , so it is easy to read or enjoy a private conversation 3 ) It definitely tends to attract a more considerate , polite clientele than other Chinese buffets , but management might have something to do with that ....... Again , while service occasionally varies when a new waitress is onboard , my experience here has been remarkably consistent over roughly 50 visits . I definitely find Island to be THE MOST SENIOR CITIZEN FRIENDLY BUFFET RESTAURANT ( other than Carle Place's Fogo de Chao ) , hands down . The low ratings some post here on Yelp are really overdone : after all , this is a small family owned establishment with limited , albeit intelligently varied , space . It invariably provides fresh servings with unlimited helpings ..... and they must somehow make ends meet . Come here alone or in a small group , and you won't be disappointed .

If it hasn't changed since the pandemic started, this was a satisfactory buffet. The selection and quality of the food was pretty good for the price and they have the hibachi grill menu which was always serving fresh and tasty options. I like that it's rarely overly crowded in there because I'm not into being closed in on. My mom and I used to go there every Sunday after church. I seems like if we sat near the windows near the sushi section, we usually had friendly waitstaff. In fact, the waitress we'd often get remembered what and how I liked my drink, I was impressed given all of the people who come through there. The ladies bathroom was clean and always stocked with everything you need, hopefully people are washing their hands. I thought I saw one of the employees walk out without doing so. When I went out behind her, I didn't catch where she went. I don't know how to reconcile that lol. That's why they lost a star and I haven't been back.

This place has always been great. Very busy. Usuallay a 15 to 30 min wait. The food is good and the stations have staff keeping an eye on things. Some disrespectful patrons can't wait for their table so they eat a plate in the waiting area. Also see people stuffing their pockets with icecream bars and cups on the was out . Shame. Reasonable price. Great food. Nice food options. Also didn't see anyone tip the waitress who gets your drinks and cleans up the.plates.

Food was not bad. Dtaff was friendly enough but there was not near the variary we are use to at other places. For the same price Ican have 2 times the options. If you are local and want okay chinese buffett food... it fits the bill. If you are willing to.drive a bit... drive to a bigger one

Me and my family of 8 visited on August 11.2022. I RECOMMEND GOING TO THE BUFFET ACROSS THE STREET We were excited to try this place because it has recently opened back up. When we walked in we noticed it was quite empty but the lady took us to our seat. When we got to the table we noticed it was very small and there was a ledge blocking on one seat so the capacity would not hold. We asked the new lady who was going to be our waiter if we can sit at the table next to it since it was bigger. She immediately got an attitude and said that's for 10 you can't sit there. She started to roll her eyes and get agitated. The other lady from the front came and said we can sit there so when we finally were going to sit the other lady grabbed the spoons on the 8 person table and threw them onto the new table and said something in her language. We were very offended and walked out.

Reserved a "party room" for 15-20 guest. We had table in the back of the restuarant that wasn't private and had one tiny fan for the whole corner. It was so hot and humid. Then, they try to charge me for 20 people, when only 19 actually came. The waitress kept saying because she put 20 cups down and 20 cups have been used ??? My friend took 2 cups for her and her baby to play with... regardless, it shouldn't be counted by the cups people use, you can't the PEOPLE that are actually at the table. Food was good as any other buffet. Honestly wouldn't come back here for a party.
