This place is great. It used to be called kumos and it was great. Then this whole experience was divine. The staff is very friendly and the food is so so good and they don't food. Shame you so they just keep the food coming. Everything was delicious. Tip your sushi guy and they send little special appetizers to your table ?

Have been here almost once a week since December 2023. Family and friends all love it. It is truly the best of both worlds with the price of an all you can eat, but the quality of a big end sushi restaurant. Hibachi is great and a fun time, but the sashimi is my personal favorite! Specialty rolls are awesome too! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Staff is amazing also, Kevin and Amber are great!

Would not eat here again! Walking in we were not greeted, mind u it was empty and employees standing around staring at us. No ONE person said Hello! The all u can eat dishes are small portions, when you order more the person taking the order would give us a weird look, like more! The busboy was good at clearing up plates but at times I was literally just about to take my last bite and he was already reaching for my plate! Unreal! I ordered 2 traditional rolls and they tasted as if they were pre-made and sitting on the shelf for a while (terrible). Atmosphere was very nice and pretty. Was not impressed at all though!

I'm not a fan of AYCE & I didn't choose this route ) I didn't even see this as an option or was offered this on the menu) thats ok, they usually have the reputation that the fish served are not as good quality. I used to frequently dine at Sumo when I used to live on the south shore 2 decades ago. Used to be my go to sushi spot. I came here for dinner approx a weekend ago on a Friday night seeing reviews were high and I read remodeled and busy, packed and great sushi options. Got here, There were many seats available. Not a good sign! The servers seem very busy & frazzled yet, I didn't see much action going on. We stood at the front to be greeted but the young guy at the desk was busy taking orders over the phone and the rest of the servers don't bother to look over.. no host/hostess and rest of 3 ppl were running around and we were ignored for a good chunk of time. There were atleast 5+ open tables. we can look past all of that but I am pointing out all the flaws since the food was not even great as expected. They sat us at a table near the bar area in the hibachi room. Place looks like it's the same decor when Sumou revamped 20 yrs ago to put in their hibachi room with tables So I'm not sure where you reviewer have been all these years but some mentioned as if their place was recently remodeled?! Uhm, no it's the same for the last 20yrs! Let's go to the food: I Ordered Large Hot sake. Some rolls (they passed) for appetizer to share. I'm convinced those that are generous with the stars are happy to eat sushi for AYCE $35 (clearly reviewed: price matters over quality) Or ordering cooked meals and not raw plain fish! Any fried or anything covered in heavy sauce?! they must be coming here for the AYCE. I ordered their special sushi sashimi combo on the dinner menu. The presentation was impressive! Very pretty w the fake cherry blossom looking bonsai on a large iced glass bowl. They brought this over to the table but the other party's meal was not ready for another 15 mins. So odd, and server should've brought over all the dinner entrees closer to coordinate so one is not sitting and staring and waiting. Back to the sushi- Portions seemed generous but the pieces of fish I tried was a-ok to decent for the exception of the pre-seared 2 pieces of tuna? Or some kind of fish that wasn't so pleasant in my mouth! My tongue told me to spit it out! Not even extra wasabi and ginger can help. Why? The white tuna had no flavor?! What a shame. It's disappointing. Perhaps the hibachi is better here but I wouldn't know. The other party seemed satisfied with the cooked bento box combo ‍ Would I return? Probably not. I'm sure - NO! There are so many places i rather choose on the north or south above this place. If the crowd's not coming.. the fresh fish sits... and that is exactly what I experienced this evening.

I went here and waited 40 minutes to be sat alone with waited an 1hour and 39 minutes for food. We even timed them. Our waitress came one then never again. Then after we complained about one of our people not getting food they had an attitude and said we will check the cameras we all said please check the cameras we’re not lying. Finally comped our friends for after we showed her the time it took to get our food

All you can eat Sushi & Hibachi for $35 is a steal deal! They recently opened up & is bringing the best All you can eat deal to Bay Shore because it's all day & night! The ambiance is stylish with spacious seating & service was amazing! They have a great selection of appetizers, hand rolls, special rolls, sushi, hibachi entrees, noodles, rice & so much more to choose from so you'll definitely get your moneys worth during the 90 minute dining time.

The space is nice, the staff is in a rush and not friendly nor welcoming, and the food, while good, is not well described on the menu so it arrives as a surprise to you on the table. The whole experience was not comfortable. They charge extra for sashimi and other little requests like hot sauce, which feels nickel and dimey for an all-you-can-eat place and the sashimi is limited to two pieces rather than all-you-can-eat. This is unclear when you order it. I will not be back, as there are much better local options for this type of experience.

Saw this on social media and had to try it out. Great price for terrific food! There's a menu for regular dining and one for all you can eat. As far as I can tell, both consist of the same stuff, so it's not like they're skimping on anything when you go the AYCE route! My buddy and I ordered a good amount if their best and special tolls and they came out quick and delicious! I really loved the Godzilla and the Angry Dragon, with a lot of love to the Crazy Salmon and Yummy Roll! I thought we would do a lot more damage, but since we started with the Pizza Sandwich and seafood soup, we filled up pretty quick! Sake and Sapporo helped us ask it down and the price of the beverages was reasonable as well!

Drinks were good, lunch specials. Not my fave sushi spot. Something about the temperature of the fish to me.Not the worst but there's better in town. I've gone twice,I want to like the spot..just not my cup of tea..too much local competition with tastier offerings. My friend really wants to go,the third time may be a charm. (Fixed the typos..eye surgery)

Opens at 1:30pm on a weekday? What's the point? Too late for lunch and too early for dinner.
