The roast duck was tender and tasty, but the confit was too rich for me.They charge for a bread basket. The cocktails are strong, not watered down.Service is top notch. There is not a thing that I do not like about the LakeHouse.

We've been to the Lake House many times. The food is always good. Service was good. I thought prices were very high as compared to the portion size. I don't know if I will be returning any time soon and judging by the relatively empty dining room, maybe many others feel the same way.

Wonderful experience. Great for a date night, special occasion or just an indulgent night out. Food and service were top notch. With prices at mid range restaurants creeping up, you might as well go out less often and pay a little more for this kind of experience.

Love the restaurant setting. 4th visit. This time was very weak. The Malbec tasted old maybe turned. I tried the baked oysters. At $4 each it was pathetic. Loose breadcrumbs on a tiny oyster. The calamari had a nice flavor but was soaked in grease or oil. You can see it running on the plate. I tried the halibut which was tasteless. Too bad as it was nicely plated. The filet mignon was good as was the flat steak. Clearly, the chef had a bad day or recently was changed.

The food at The Lake House is impeccable, with interesting takes on classic dishes and innovative combinations of ingredients. It's pricey, but there is a prix fixe lunch menu in addition to the regular one that is good value. The wine list is very good, with a couple of more reasonably priced bottles at the lower end. The main room is airy in shades of light blue with great views of the marina and bay. Our only problem was that one of our party has a dairy intolerance issue. Unfortunately virtually every dish on both lunch menus had some kind of dairy product in it that made it a non-starter for her. Our server was helpful in trying to find something that would work and placed an order with one of the components on the side without the cream, which solved the problem It would be nice, though, if there were a couple of dairy-free dishes on the menu to create choices for those who cannot tolerate dairy. One other thing I have to mention. We went to The Lake House for a little celebration of my birthday. I guess we must have been talking to each other and mentioned that within earshot of one of the servers. When my Lakehouse Black Magic dessert (to die for, if you are a chocolate lover) arrived, there was a small lit candle on the plate, and a happy birthday wish from the server. A small, inconsequential thing perhaps, but indicative of the attentive service that enhances the experience at The Lake House.

Food was very good. I mentioned in open table notes that it was our 30 th wedding anniversary. Nobody said or did anything special for us. We were disappointed. I don't think restaurant cared at all or looked at the notes. It is a beautiful restaurant with great food but our waiter wasn't very attentive. We had to track him down a few times for additional drinks etc.

Stopped in without a reservation at 7pm on Friday night. No problem as they seated us in the cozy bar area. Martini was perfect and my cod entree was stupendous. Fresh and tasty! My wife's scallops were also wonderful. It's a very classy place worthy of your hard earned money.

Cant stop thinking of the butternut squash soup here. On a chilly day it hit the spot and then the rest of the food was outstanding. Nice selection of drinks to go with the ever changing specials. Ambiance and décor is stunning. Prices are very fair for the upscale and elevated restaurant. Servers are nice and dont hesitate to ask for a recommendation and they will steer you the right way.

The LakeHouse is always delicious. It's our favorite favorite. This time we did feel a little rushed and our food was not piping hot. It was Valentine's Day, but that was a little disappointing.

My wife and I two of the soups and the cavatelli. Every mouthful was delicious. The S'more Sundae dessert was a layered delight of textures and flavors. The service was perfect. Overall, a wonderful dining experience.
