This deli is located next to Tijeras De Oro which is a popular hair salon & normally people hanging out at the deli will say they're at TDO. I walked in on a Friday morning-- I live down the block & I've never stopped in here before. Desperate to find a BEC; I waltzed in. The deli is clean. To my surprise there was a pool table in the back and someone was actually playing at it. 9am. Pretty cool. The rancheras were playing loud and the guy behind the counter put the volume down when he saw me. Haha I didn't mean to interrupt the party. I ordered a sandwich & got distracted by some hot wings so I got those too. Mmmmm just like Crown Fried Chicken. So good. Turns out they serve hot food during the day just like every other bodega but by night this becomes a hang out place for the locals. Pretty chill. I'll be stopping in for my breakfast & beer when I have cash. They have an ATM but it charges $2 a transaction.
