“Even with all these delis on the island it's hard to find one that does it right and quick and this deli was just that I stopped in there today for the first time and order a egg sandwich on a wrap with my eggs over hard and this place delivered just that. A great egg Sammy and quick with only five to ten minute wait time it came with a free drink. I thought the prices are reasonable especially in todays market. Overall Great store and great service. I'll be going back! Thanks guys and gals“

“Went quite early in the morning... on the way to the Ronkonkoma train stain. The helpful girl behind the counter got mine & my coworker's order right ✅. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast on the way to Manhattan. The bacon was cooked perfectly, the cheese wasn't melted enough on my breakfast sandwich; but that's minor. Besides that, we were happy all- around. We will definitely be back / order here again.“

“Every time I come here I wish I lived closer! I come here occasionally for lunch when I visit customers in this area and it’s one of the best delis I’ve ever been to. There is a big menu with a lot of great choices and creative sandwiches and the food has been excellent every time I’ve come here!On top of that, this place is like the Cheers of delis. There must be a lot of local businesses and the “regulars” come in and the deli workers all know them by name and know their orders and it has a real nice family and friendly feel to it. Today I forgot to ask for my sandwich to be hot so I asked the guy behind the counter to microwave it and he instead took it to the grill in the back because he didn’t want to ruin a good sandwich by microwaving it. The service and people here are awesome! It really makes me wish I could come here more, but I totally enjoy it when I do!!“

“Oh my God we just finished the best breakfast sandwiches of our lives. We ignored our mother's training to not moan and grown as we ate our food because it was so good. So good in fact that we went back inside to thank the owner Muhammad for one of the best breakfast sandwiches we ever had and trust me we're professionals. If you're in the vicinity of Holbrook market and deli don't pass it by. Thanks again Holbrook Market and Deli.“

“This is an average deli. Nothing special about it and nothing bad about it. Potato and macaroni salad tasted like it was out of a five gallon pail and not freshly made. Tuna was not fresh either. Employee had no personality. Just took the order and rang me up. The deli is clean and well stocked. It's the only deli in Nesconset so you don't have anywhere else o choose from in this immediate area.Parking: Parking is not great but since its not that busy, you will find a spot in front or out back.“

“The food here is terrific! I got a sandwich here the other day and it was fabulous, ordered through doordash. I just wish the menu was more extensive because I would have liked to have ordered other stuff like macaroni salad, potato salad, cole slaw or muffins, but they're not listed on the menu. Well, the sandwiches are super tasty, especially the turkey & cheese.“
“Great deli! Ordered today for the first time and got the Colonel’s Rival specialty hero which comes with chicken cutlet, melted american cheese, russian dressing, bacon, lettuce and tomato. Also got a couple of smoothies and they were delicious as well. Will be back for more!“

“Tried this spot as it was On Too Good and had never heard of it. When I walked in I was greeted and the owner introduced himself. The amount of food was more than generous. I’m slowly working through it but I am not disappointed at all! I will def come back and try more of their food“

“Never been here before but reviews were good. Ordered pickup, The salad case looked great. I asked for one of the prosciutto sandwiches and add eggplant cutlets. Which they obliged very nicely. I wish they had warmed the eggplant though because it was very cold. Also the ciabatta bread was very chewy and smelled a little musty, I checked for mold but didn't see anything, but the smell turned me off unfortunately. We've gotten pastries from here that were well received. Very clean and well presented establishment.“
“Thrifty Deli is a gem of a local business with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Every meal I've had here has been nothing short of delicious. Supporting local businesses like Thrifty Deli is so important, especially when they consistently deliver such fantastic food and service. I highly recommend stopping by for a meal and experiencing the charm of this neighborhood deli.“

“Whenever it is takeout the food is DELICIOUS, even though the owners are Dominican, the cooks are from Hidalgo, Mexico and their Mexican food is top quality and good seasoning and the price is regular, it really is not that expensive for how delicious it is. this!!! ??, I RECOMMEND IT!!!“

“I am a former NY'er that came to visit family and do some college visits with my daughter. Stopped in to St. James Bagels on accident and I'm so glad I did. Had their breakfast bagel with eggs and bacon and it was absolutely delicious. Eggs were fluffy and the bacon was perfectly cooked. The people there are wonderful. In particular there was an older gentleman there (can't remember his name), who was so genuinely kind to me and my daughter and also very funny. My daughter absolutely loved the place, both the food and atmosphere. It is my go to place whenever I am back in NY to visit.“

“I've been getting my salads from Lake Deli for many years. I use to live in Medford now in Bohemia. It's over 45 minutes round trip but this is the only place that has the best salads I've tried other Delis. Just not the same. My sister loved them too whenever I went to Pennsylvania I had to bring 2 or more lbs.of potatoes“
“the old fashion deli is getting harder and harder to find these days between all the "gourmet" delis and Hispanic delis . I enjoy both but sometimes you just want a traditional hero . I got the American hero and it was stacked and satisfied my hunger and then some when i was on the road that day. I will be back .“
“Best egg sandwiches in town, if you buy cold cuts dont expect them to last more then a week due to no additives and preservatives. In my opinion always have fresh food on deck and if there ever is a problem they accommodate very well, alls you have to do is politely mention it. Owner is awesome, always about the customer!“

“This place is a hidden gem for Dominican food and easily one of the best in Patchogue and surrounding areas. The food is very well seasoned, and they are very liberal with the portions they give you. It's more of a take-out spot/deli so I wouldn't take my family to eat in here. Especially because there can be some sketchy people hanging out in and around the place sometimes, which is why it probably took me so long to try this place. But once you do, you'll keep coming back.“

“We stopped here bc my bf remembers visiting this deli as a regular when he was attending the middle school behind it. A LOT has changed since then. It's a little Mexican deli now! My bf got an egg sandwich with sausage bacon & cheese. He said he enjoyed it. I tried the hot & ready food available at the buffet because I was pleasantly surprised that it was early 10am & a lot of options were readily available. I had a small rice, beans and beef stew. Delicious. Very pleasant breakfast. I wish I would have paused & read the menu a little longer. I would have ordered a torta, barría tacos or a quesadilla. I honestly can't wait to come back for another swing! I couldn't find a breakfast deli in the area so I'm happy to add them to the Yelp map!“
“We worked with Douglas to cater our company picnic this past Saturday. He was absolutely phenomenal! The food was delicious and he was able to grill everything fresh for us at the park. We will definitely be recommending Douglas & Simply Devine to all of our friends and family. Thank you, Douglas!“

“Could have sworn I wrote a review for TJ's many moons ago. This was, of course, before they moved locations from Main Street to Washington. Not sure if the review was lost in the move. Regardless it's time to shout out a family favorite. My husband grew up going to TJ's. Ironically, I wasn't much of a sandwich person until the Hubs came along. And what was once a regular thing for us is now a treat. Hub's go to is a Chicken Supreme with American cheese and Mayo. Me...I bounce around. Some days I'll get a Tuna hero, and other days it's the Super Club or the #25 cold Italian hero with the works and Mayo. The bread is delicious. They put the right amount of meats/cheese which I can appreciate a nice, not overstuffed sandwich sometimes. Also the iced tea. Classic deli iced tea. Hard to find a good one these days. TJ's has stayed the same and continues to be one of the best. These days I get the unsweetened mango tea and it's just as good. What was once a tiny sandwich shop, is now a nice size convenient store which features some household items, a few groceries and lottery tickets. The staff...some of them have been there as long as I can remember. This is a local biz that I think the community would be crushed if they ever leave. They really are the best here, and have even helped me carry a ton of sandwiches to the car while doing a pickup with the kid. TJ's...one of the most underrated spots in LI but prob the best sandwich shop on the Island. If you didn't know, now you do!“

“I've been coming to this deli for about a year now and somehow after having the bacon, egg, and cheese for just about every day in the summer, they never get old. They are absolutely delicious everyday and every one of my friends who come here as well and get other items on the menu say the same. The food here is delicious and Bobby and Sandy are some of the nicest people you could meet. Everything is priced very well and comes out quick as well. Must visit if in Bayport.“
