“Got a couple cookies during National cookie day. I love that they have new flavors every time I visit. This time we got the blueberry cheesecake, the cookies and cream, peppermint chocolate, and of course, the original chocolate chip. I have yet to have a bad flavor at chip, but I think the cookies and cream still reigns supreme in my book! I've been to a couple locations in the city and although the cookies were warm/fresh, they were a little crispier than how I'm normally used to.“

“We booked our son’s baptism with Frank’s steaks in RVC and they are affiliated with whistle stop for the occasion cake. I was so blown away by this cake I had to come and make a review. It’s so hard to find a good sheet cake for special occasions. The flavor and texture of the cake was so delicious. We chose a chocolate mouse filling and it exceeded our expectations. The cake was so so delicious and beautifully decorated, which is also hard to come by with these types of cakes. I would definitely use them for future occasion cakes. “This old-school Asian bakery serves some of the best sponge cakes that are, you guessed it, not too sweet. Yeh's Bakery has been a staple in Flushing for 36 years. Their Boston Cream Pie is made out of two layers of sponge cake and fresh cream, and is one of their best sellers. If you want it, make sure to come early because sometimes they sell out. It's so light and airy, so soft and fluffy, and so freaking good. Sponge cakes are already good, but sponge cakes with cream are even better. Yeh's also serves slices of some of their light, airy, and soft sponge cakes for $1.70 (sliced flavors like the green tea and vanilla, but not the strawberry or taro). Whole rolls go for $15 each. Cakes start at 8 inches with flavors including vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, green tea, taro, and chestnut. You can even make the cakes into a heart shape! For their egg tarts, their custard is very light and soft. Great for people who don't like their egg tarts too creamy or heavy! Being a Taiwanese bakery, they also sell Taiwanese pineapple cakes at $2 each with two cake rectangles inside. The next time I go to Taiwan, imma eat pineapple cakes like these everyday. Moist and creamy in each bite.Croissant items were good too, but couldn’t beat my first above. “Can’t sing their praises high enough, the man and woman who work behind the counter here every day always know your order, greet you with a friendly good morning and treat everyone with respect. They work hard and obviously care about their customers. I even started learning some Albanian words and phrases to show the care and respect is mutual. Great coffee at good prices, good pastry and love the organic environmentally friendly soaps and other products too. They are a huge plus for the neighborhood.“

The mochi donuts are ok, I'd rather get a croffle for two more dollars. The space is pretty tight so it can't accommodate large groups unless you go to the outside seating areas. Each time I have gone the staff have been eh, lots of workers scrambling around and not being helpful, but other than that the quality of the croffles out weighs my annoyance with the staff.“

“We had the best experience ever with this bakery - the cake was included in our venue pricing through this bakery, and I can definitely see why! Working with Alison to schedule and have our tasting, which was just down right fun...(because of COVID we had to take our samples home... and she loaded us up with some extras to share with friends) to showing her our vision for the cake on the day of, and then actually SEEING and EATING it at our wedding was perfect all the way through. They really incorporated everything we asked for, and it was simply delicious!!! Me and some work colleagues accidentally walked a mile to the factory instead of the actual cookie store on accident. instead of turning us around the owner came out, gave us a tour of the factory and gave us cookies and a story about how they got started. Ratio of cream to cake, should by appearance be too much cream but the cream is light and fluffy and turns out to be well balanced.
