There is no bells and whistles with this KBBQ place, it is straight to business with the meals, sides, stove, and service. We are glad to see the health score is labeled an A because a place close by which we used to go to dropped to a C and we don't go there anymore. The service was super fast, the food was good quality, the portion sizes were decent, it was nice of them to serve us a scallion pancake as an appetizer for our first time; and we got one of the inclusive packages. Prices were a bit high for the double date dinner we had, and I wasn't much of a fan of the interior, but friendly staff and a good time. 4 stars, probably won't return though.

When we arrived on the evening of February 23,, it was around 8 o'clock. The waiter informed us that dining services would be available until 9:30. My friend and I had our meal, and as the night progressed, we found ourselves the last patrons in the restaurant. The staff seemed a bit rushed and urged us to settle the bill quickly. In the haste to leave, I realized that I had lost my passport holder inside the restaurant, which contained my passport and $2000 in cash. I hope the staff can find it and keep it safe when they see it tomorrow morning. I am hopeful that I can successfully retrieve it tomorrow.

I've been here 2-3 times already. I was impressed by the charcoal grilling of the meat. Lots of side dishes and delicious. I recommend the Yook Hwe. It's very delicious.

Best Korean food with their delicious banchan (best around). Thank God their restaurant has not been so watered down by the popularity of Korean BBQ craze. All their dishes are close or better than eating at a fine restaurant in Seoul. My favorite Korean restaurant. Order the fried dumplings. Soooo delicious.

I really do not recommend this place. If you do not order bbq, servers became suddenly unkind. Today I visited with my friends and family they put us to seat in a table for 4 people to squeeze each other. I felt so uncomfortable while eating there. It is better for them to post inside of their restaurant “bbq customers only”. None of our friends and family will visit their again.

Unfriendly and ill mannered older female server when we arrived for pick up on a slow Thursday afternoon. Frowning and gesturing to customers wildly like an animal. We lived here way before the opened, paid, and thanked the Spanish food runner/bus boy who was the only professional on the floor.

What the hell happened here? Did the ownership change? I used to frequent this place almost weekly when I was living in Little Neck but I moved to Brooklyn. It's been 4 years since I last visited and at that time they were still hopping on the weekends. I decided to visit this place for old times sake instead of going to chilsung garden nearby which btw is a real proper kbbq place with great selections of delicious food. I ordered some beef combo for my family and hearty rich soup that I was expecting. What came instead was literally the cheapest quality of beef I have come across in a while anywhere and soup that was pungent and had weird aftertaste so I left it alone for the rest of the meal. After trying to have some composure and eat what I could I concluded that they are definitely cutting corners and quality of ingredients are not being looked after in the kitchen. It is so sad to see once a real authentic and great korean restaurant fall so hard from its grace and leave a bitter taste literally in my mouth. It seems that they may be gasping for air and taking a last deep breath for whatever little life they have left in them. No soul and love in their food makes me never come back..

My goto neighborhood Korean BBQ. Friendly service, best quality meats and by far our favorite restorative Sur Long Tong (beef bone soup).

My friend and I decided to check this place out for the first time because we wanted to try new things…after paying our bill of over $100 and still tip what we had although the service was not the best at all. While leaving the restaurant, the manager comes after us saying what we tipped was not good enough and told us to never go back. We are not lousy tippers but this was based off of the experience we had.Food was really good but the service was horrible.

After you order the servers bring a variety of ban chan which were all pretty good. We ordered the non-bbq stuff and the spicy pork on the sizzling stone platter was juicy and was not that spicy. I would recommend moving the egg off the platter when you get it and onto the rice unless you like eating egg crust and flakes. If you get the Kalbi tang they cut off the meat from the bones which is nice so you don't have to look like a barbarian getting the meat off yourself. The meat itself lacked flavor and was very chewy. They did not cut it that clean and there were small broken pieces of bone which were a little annoying but was whatever. The broth was really really rich and meaty though. The disappointment was the meat itself not being able matching up.
